| Wow - Obviously canon never really gave us a lot of answers on what happened with these two once Percy left school. This makes a lot of sense. Obviously, Percy's strong ambition did not just divorce him from his family for a time, but from everyone he had cared about or who had cared for him. I think he is lucky his life did not go further wrong than it did. |

Stupid, stupid Percy! Arggh.
This was another wonderful story. It's strange, in fanfiction, Percy and Penelope always stay together ad in the end she usually gently prods him back towards his family. Only, sadly, this is far more realistic. Why would she - why would any woman - want to stay with a self-important, big-headed nerd?
Poor Penny. |

| Oh, Percy, how could you? Poor Penny – that was beautifully written. The very best line: But even in the wizarding world, wishes do not get you anywhere. A lovely tale of loneliness and stupidity and loss. How heartbreaking that she gave Percy the credit for her badge, but he ignored it so callously. I love your stories, I do hope you’ll give us some more. |

| Wow. I really like this because it's so original. And very angsty, as it should be. I had always wondered exactly what had happened between Penelope and Percy. This seems very real. |

Hmm. Angsty, everyone is perfectly in character and the plot flows beautifully. Well done! |

I've never read a Percy/Penelope story before. and I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this. Percy's attitude and his actions in this piece are very realistic. At thhis point in his life, I can see him chosing work over Penny... stupid guy.
Great short! I hope there's more, because I'll definitely read it. |

| Oh--Penny lives with the Dursleys! She does have problems. I really hope that Percy reconsiders--he is a Weasley after all! And a girl like Penny doesn't come along everyday. I do think you've fulfilled the angst quota! |

You know, I never really thought about it, but it makes sense that Percy would break up with Penny even before he seperates himself from his family. Very nicely done, well thought-out. |

| Keep going with this one. I like seeing the whole Percyprat dilemna from Penny's perspective. (whoa, that was alliterative!) Good story. |

I almost skipped over this fic entirely just because of the characters involved. I almost made a bit mistake. This is brilliantly written angst. Once you get past the necessary background, the story telling is very smooth and it builds up so well. Giving Penny hope with the Head Girl badge was the perfect setup for the horribly depressing conclusion.
I like the parallels you've draw between Penny and Harry. It helps to reinforce the severity of her situation and how much she needs Percy. That makes his rejection all the more cruel, especially considering how aloof and indifferent he makes it.
"I thought you were happy for me. Proud of me," Percy said defensively.
That's about as callous a line as you could have come up with. It's far from pleasant, but it's certainly powerful and telling. It makes Percy come off as colder than Snape.
Again, very good job. I think this is about as angsty as anyone could hope for.
