Poor Harry! He seems so sad yet so accepting at the same time. I know this is post HBP and that he comes out of this much better than anyone expected, but you've portrayed the weight of his burden very well. My favorite line: "Maybe I lost the desire to dance on the wind with Sirius' death." Poor Harry!

Flying Free (Author Response)
That's my favorite line, too. The song fit really well with the emotions I was sensing coming from Harry after his visit to Hagrid, so that's what my inspiration turned out to be after thinking about each verse. Thank you for your kind words.
Thank you for reviewing. I'm glad you like how I write. This story just seemed to create itself when I was learning the song to sing as a duet with a friend just after I finished reading Book 5. Every time I practiced, it seemed that my thoughts would be with Harry. I think of him every time I sing Flying Free.
