| Poor Ginny! I suppose no news is good news, but the best news of all is his presence. And with as much as Ginny loves Harry his second request is probably infinitely easier to comply with than the first. Well done, quite fluffy, slightly angsty, and altogether a good read. Thanks for sharing. |

Wow! This is very beautiful!!!! I highly recommend reading it while listening to Sarah McLachlan's song "Do what you have to do", from her "Surfacing" cd.
Pulls your heart strings, and and makes them cry!!! |

Amen to all the the reviews below and I must whole-heartedly agree with Ladybug's astute comments. You have a knack for setting up a scene beautifully. The way you craft sentences is particularly effective in drawing the reader into your story and making her/him feel part of the scene at hand. I can feel it, see it & hear it. You create a vivid image, without resorting to paragraphs of heavy-handed description. I look forward to much more! Brava! |

| Perfect. I like your use of repetition - three piles of presents, three places at the table, etc , and then understanding didn't ... - they were very effective in building her sense of waiting and hoping. I also love the practical details ( A bad mood was poor reason to risk frostbite. ) which made it so much more realistic and not just an emotional trip. Those practical details made the emotive words so much more powerful, i.e. this sentence - Her memories were blurred around the edges and the echo of their voices grew softer by the day. - was so much more meaningful and powerful in the story than it was on its own in the summary. Love the twist in the end - the whole piece was about remembering until he needed to forget - wonderful! |

| I liked this story, it has a somber tone, which carries well with Harry's return from battle. Good Job. |
