Wow, I was actually motivated to get an account on this site just to leave this comment.
I don't know if anyone looks at this page anymore, seeing as how the seventh book is already out and all. (Before it was out, I carefully shielded myself from all online predictions and interpretations on how it would turn out.)
Anyway, when I was reading the end of the chapter, but hadn't yet seen Umbridge's name, I was quite convinced for a few seconds that they had decided Percy should be Minister of Magic!! Hahaha!!!!! wouldn't that be just perfect.
Congratulations, Melindaleo, I wouldn't have believed anyone had written a whole other HP book online. I wonder how many other full-fledged books are out there? It's a wild and woolly Internet out here.

I do indeed still get notices to posts on this story - so thanks very much for taking that extra step! Welcome to the world of fanfiction. I'll give you fair warning - it's very addictive. I hope you find many more stories to read and enjoy.
Third time i've read the book and its great.
No faults whatso-ever.
Infact when I first read the book, a few days later the real one came out and I was constantly comparing this one to Rowlings!
Lol
But anyway, you;'ve outdone yourself, I have spent a months allowance on paper and ink printing out your story so that I can read it in bed rather than on the computer.
seriously good stuff
wow.... poor ron!!! I hope that he makes it out ok
:O:O:O:O the minister isdead! lol they had to go and appoint dolores didnt they... she's gonna make harry's life a living hell....
Dolores Umbridge as MoM? Now I can't wait for the next chapter. And Snape needs a bigger beating. I hope Remus gets to get in a few licks on Snape or Wormtail for everything he's been put through over the years.
I find myself really liking Moody in this fic and want to see lots more of him.
No, I didn't see that coming. And I don't understand it at all. Umbridge has already proven her incompetence, and you let them make her Minister? I hope there's a better explanation than panic.
Fantastic story! I just finished getting caught up! I read your PoE stories a while back and stumbled on this one. Keep up the fantastic writing. nice little twist at the end...you are evil bringing the toad back into the picture. Can't wait until the next chapter!
Wicked. I can't believe it, Umbridge is back. I'm really hope that Ron is ok though, that has me a little worried. I really enjoyed this chapter, and I am always happy to read about acts of violence against Snape, lol. Great job with this chapter.
Certainly enjoy the original thoughts behind destroying the horcruzes - that the tools to do so exist within the hiding place. It makes it more plausible to believe and allows the reader to think that Dumbledore did not have all of the answers.
Thanks for the story and the hard work of writing.

Thanks! I'm glad you think it's working. JKR said that Harry's learned more than he thinks he has when it comes to the Horcruxes, so I'm trying to think of things he's encountered in the past.

Hi Jenny. Okay, real words. I like that rule about PS, anyway. As for the update, I'm working on it and getting closer all the time.
Oh no—seems like the next one to get badly injured will be Ginny!
The cave scene seems especially bad to me because now Voldemort has been alerted to what Harry & Co are up to. How will our heroes find the penultimate horcrux now? Voldemort can move it, set up alarm spells to alert him, or have lots of baddies guarding it.

Heh - you're on to my little sequence, are you? And you're right - Voldemort is definitely onto them now - although Voldemort still has to figure out which ones are missing - he knows about the ring, diary and now locket, but not the missing one, the cup....or what he believes is his trump....Harry.
this story is really awsome! whenever i read a part that i dont understand in jk rowlings books i always find the answer in this story one way or the other. i luv this story vrey much and i think it shoud be the 7th book lol.

Heh, now you've got me endlessly curious to what you're referring to, lol. I'm glad you're enjoying it though.
Still very good, but the choreography in the first scene is a little
unclear to me -- either I'm confused or there are some steps or
turns missing, I think.
Why didn't Wormtail switch to his Animagus form to escape? And it
seems a bit odd that the "Gang of Four" is discussing vital matters
apparently not far from where Wormtail is -- and I thought rats
could hear pretty well. :-}
I realize it wouldn't help Harry against Snape's Legilimancy, but it
seems to me that blasting a large hole in whatever one's opponent is
standing on could prove an effective strategy in a duel. And in a
cave, given the proper positioning, blasting the ceiling above one's
opponent might be a significant distraction, at least.
Pity Harry didn't snap Snape's wand. Reducto & Incendio, perhaps?
Re: DJU -- yeah, I saw that coming. And thanks for the link. :-}

Hmm, as for Snape, you're right. I could see it working, it just wasn't what I wrote. *shrugs* They did manage to get themselves out of there, just in another way.
Wormtail couldn't have turned into a rat because his hands were bound. I didn't write that they'd taken his wand, so I suppose I could go in and clear that up, but he was still bound. As for overhearing them, well....he already knows about the Horcruxes, so they didn't really give anything away he didnt' already know.
I'm glad you saw Delores coming, lol. I'm having fun with her.
