The story continues to be so involved and I find myself drawn rapidly in. I loathe Umbridge, and the power hungry folks that she represents. You've made her do exactly what someone like her would do in that situation -- a whole lout of sound and fury and very little else.
I wept as Remus left, he's always been one of my favorite characters, I see much of myself in him, and while I reveled in his strength in doing what he felt was noble and right; part of me wanted to hit him right then and there as well.
Again, thank you for your amazing story, that even three years out, is still as wonderful and amazing as it must have been when you posted it.

17: Dolores’s Decrees (Author Response)
Sorry for my delay in responding - real life has been hectic. I just wanted to thank you for all the lovely comments. It's so fun to see someone going through the story as a whole book rather than chapter by chapter. Having it still hold up is even better! Peter is a great one to get into come HP discussions, with, isn't he? I get a kick out of his crush on Ginny.
This story is great and I give thanks to the author that she gave me a chance to spend another couple days with my favorite characters. I'm with Harry since he started his journey in '97. Last year was really sad for me because I knew there is nothing to expect since the 7th book was released. I really enjoy reading your story. I hope you'll find your own place in the magic world with your own, i believe, fantastic characters.
Oh yay! I'm so happy that Ron woke up. I also think that the Death Eaters need to go ahead and nick off Umbridge. Do you need another Beta? I could help you out... hehe, I'm not gonna lie, I just want to be the first to read each one.... Ha! Thanks for writing, keep it up.
i loved it,
i honestly have to say that i kept putting off reading this (chapter 17) because i don't know how long it will take you to update

Heh. Thanks. I'm trying to keep updates between 7-10 days. My beta is on vacation, so this one might be a bit longer, but that'll mean the next one is quicker.

The next chapter is in the works, but my beta is taking a well-deserved vacation. We'll try to get it up as soon as she returns.
I'm so glad I got the chance to catch up with your story! I won't even try to leave a detailed review, far too much story to cover. Suffice it to say that it is as wonderfull to read your work now as it was when you were writing Power of Emotion.

Aww, thanks. Glad you're back and still enjoying it. I hope you'll still feel the same by the end.
This story is so amazing. I'm loving every minute of it. I'm glad you added Dolores Umbridge to the mix of things. Of course everything can't go perfect for Harry, so having Dolores foul things up with all her decrees is perfect. Great job with that.
I wanted to cry when Ron woke up. That was so awesome. My heart sighed when Harry was in there talking to him. That was sweet. And how perfect for Ron's first words to be his first love. "I'm hungry" haha. Too cute. And just in time for Christmas. What a nice miracle.
Great job with the story. Be encourage with tying everything together to have an incredible ending.
I'm looking forward to their next adventure with the next horcrux. The tiara is perfect.

Thank you! OMGoodness, you're about the only person who's actually thanked me for bringing back Dolores, lol. I'm working on the ending now, and desperately trying to make sure I haven't forgotten anything, so thanks.
P.S: (Oh how I wish we could edit reviews!) I loathe Umbridge more than I ever thoguht I could hate someone. Really though... she is such a B!T$H. Like, seriously. Why do people like her even exist??
Again, amazing work, I hate Umbiatch, I love Ron waking up, Hermione is too cool, Harry and Ginny are perfect, Remus leaving made me cry, Tonks' hair fading to brown really made me tear even more, and yea.
/blabbing.
Wonderful!

Heh, Umbridge isn't popular at all, is she? She's certainly distracting you all from Voldemort though
:SUCH a good chapter!! Really... my emotions were stretched from being extremely sad to being ecstatic!! (That scene wih Remus leaving really brought tears to my eyes!) And Ron woke up!! And Hermione's brain is on overdrive!! What about the tiara? Let's hope she doesn't forget her train of thought, what wit Ron having woken up!
And I have a theory for horcruxes... What if Harry used to be a horcrux? What if the blood voldemort took to resurrect himself in book 4 was the horcrux... If it was used, then Harry wouldn't be needed anymore, would he? So yeah... Harry's blood or the "bone of the father". Or even both. Anyways... just a thought.
Amazing work!

Of course she'll forget her train of thought, lol! woke up, and she's rather partial to him
I do think using Harry's blood was significant, just not exactly sure how, but the more I've written this story, the more I'm convinced that Harry is a Horcrux.
I'm pretty sure we could come up with some excitement without the frog woman ... ugh she's nasty! LOL You're doing fine, keep up the good work! I'm enjoying your story, of course--but I keep wanting to know what happens next! :-)

Heh - that's what I'm hoping for - to keep you wanting more (frog woman and all ) I'm so glad you're enjoying it.
Awesome! I'm so glad Ron woke up. It was great seeing Neville again too, and his loyalty and courage, it was very stirring. This chapter had a few ups and downs, emotionally that is. I enjoyed Harry turning the reporters on Umbridge, but Remus' situation was disheartening. His decision though, with his quiet strength, does leave me with hope. This was another excellent chapter, and though you've heard it many times before, it is what I've come to expect and admire about your writing. Well done.

Aww, thanks so much. I like the idea of Harry finally getting to use those nasty reporters to his advantage, too. They've certainly put him through it enough.
