Oh, this story is absolutely fabulous. I love the characterisations, the little images of them as girls together, the way you've written their friendship. What a wonderful moment in time, and a brilliant character piece. |

Very sweet, very touching.
The bond between those two friends is lovley, and it's sad to think that their bond will grow a little weaker over time because of their different jobs, sad to think that Amelia dies.
Pleasant little fic.

This is wonderful.
The tight bonds between women is so important, and often overlooked in fanfic. Good work. |

Quite delightful. I particularily liked this section.
“They’re going to love you,” Amelia said. Suddenly, she was laughing. “They’re going to love you, and you’re going to love them, each of those pubescent, ungrateful brats: you’re going to love them. And they’re going to love their ridiculously strict and uptight Transfiguration teacher, and neither of you will ever admit it.” She was really laughing now, the full, deep laugh that always made Minerva think of Chicken broth, and her mother telling her the thunderstorm would be over soon.
We all need an Amelia in our lives. |

Wow - this is a really good piece of writing. I can't put into words what this made me feel, and I've never been a sentimental one. I look forward to the next piece you write!

| Touching. I love their bond and simple understanding of each other. |

at first, i thought you forgot that amelia bones died in hbp. Then i realised that this is another setting, your setting is decades before. The reason i mistook the setting at first, is because your summary talks about when mcgonagall becomes headmistress, not transfiguration teacher.
This story is very nice, though, i like it a lot, even if it is a bit short |
