I am enjoying this story as much as I did The Hog's Head . You're doing a great job building on the foundation of story line you set up in The Hog's Head but the plot of this work stands apart. After reading the note at the begining of this story, I found myself ticking off the portions of the story that drew upon the foundation from the The Hog's Head . Nicely done!
One of my favorite thriller writers does that in his stories and I think that's one reason his stories appeal to me. When he mentions older book plots or scenes, it brings back a lot of those memories and it helps re-identify with the character. A recall of all the old stories comes to mind. It's a great quality.
I like the struggle you've placed in lives and I also like the way you've written their handling of such a situation. Not liking circumstances the way they occur, but having the willingness to say, "Screw them, I'm fine without all of that" is typical of people who appreciate life and find true worth in their love.
Great job, Peter!
Cheers,
~Sean

11 - A Day Off (Author Response)
Sean,
Thank you for this long and thoughtful review, those are the best kinds. Well, except maybe for the gushing ones with zillions of smilies. Having a reader say that he is enjoying the story is all that a writer can ask for.
I just sent chapter 12 back to my beta with the edits, so it should be posted very soon.
hmmm... interesting... I wonder why the room is like that

The next chapter should be up soon; my beta has had it for a week. There are only 14 chapters in the story, so you won't have to wait long.

I love the way you write this "They kissed, and their day ended the way it began." So sweet
It's beginning to look like my theory about someone trying to resurrect the Dark Lord might not have been too far off ......

Well, Bev, you know that is my favorite scene.
You will find out about your theories soon; there are only three more chapters. And I have to admit that I lied to you, although inadvertently. It's in the NEXT chapter that there will be changes of location, dramatic action, all that exciting stuff.
I really enjoyed this chapter the most of any you have posted so far. We are really able to see the love that exists between Harry and Ginny without all of the "world's drama" getting in the way. I was also very pleased to see Percy back alive. I was worried for a bit that the Weasleys were going to lose another son, so close to the anniversay of the battle and Fred's death.
I can't wait to see what happens in Godric's Hollow.... as always you leave us thirsting for more.
(If I had to venture a guess, I would say that this is the day that Ginny gets pregnant with James... 4 times in 24 hours... go Harry!)

Glad you liked the chapter so much. Writing about their love is what I enjoy doing the most.
