It looks like Ginny and Hermione are going to gang up on the boys, so to speak . Nice birthday party!

This was one of the first stories I read on this site back when I was waiting for HBP to be released ... I was totally hooked because of it! It's been forever, just thought I would go back and read it again ... are you still writing and posting elsewhere, or have you hung your hat? Would love to see your perception of Year 7!

Hooray! That stuff about Pensieves was very interesting...it sounded like it'd come straight from a Hogwarts textbook (like the ones Rowling wrote for the charity). Ron Hermione Ginny and Harry have a great dynamic together in this story, and as always I loved the twins. Heehee...great poem, even had the same rhythm as the Valentine from year two!

I enjoyed this chapter, and laughed at harry's fire-starting reaction to ginny. I am sure that harry having his own pensieve will help him out a lot with his impending future.

Isn't Mr Weasley a little too emotional here?

Isn't Mr Weasley a little too emotional here?
Thanks for all these reviews you're leaving!

As for Mr. Weasley, some authors write him rather distant, but I think he just gets caught up in his hobbies, and is a pretty loving father. We don't see it in the HP books because of space limitations, but I don't think his little speech was overboard.

I found this chapter to be quite entertaining on so many levels :)

I still don't quite know how you did it, but you managed to get in teenager-mode, and just go to down with the dialogue, and feelings, and confusion, and total cluelessness. It more or less took me back to my own high school days.. girl sees boy, girl gets all starry eyed, girl makes sure to see him as much as possible, but gets a little embarrassed when he looks or talks directly to her. Of course, eventually, girl and boy became friends and girl wasn't so embarrassed, but girl wasn't as successful in her endeavors as she wanted to be. -sigh-

I like the party! Harry will definintely have that in HBP, I just can't wait to see how much excitement Fred and George cause. Oh, Harry will definintely demonstrate some accidental magic, I think that'll be a given :)

I wonder.. I don't think we've see the last of the Pensieve. We saw it so much in OotP and it's such a resourceful (and entertaining, in your case) device. Harry could use something like that in my opinion. Better yet, so could I.

Glad you could give our little boy such a nice day :)

Dear Sib,
I knew the trio couldn’t be separated for long. Ron’s nerves are adorable, and I love the interaction of Ginny teasing, Ron panicking and Harry once again saving his friend. Ginny’s whispered comment and smile to Harry made me laugh out loud. Ron got a kiss; how can he not know she likes him. Leave it to Hermione to pick up on the byplay between Harry and Gin.

I appreciate the conversation between the two girls-they both need someone to confide in who will understand what they are going through. After all, they just may be dealing with the most oblivious boys in England. I’m glad that they are honest with each other and offer support. Gin’s not over her crush, and I can’t wait to see how the two ‘couples’ react around each other.

It‘s great to see everyone at the party, but at the same time it’s a little sad that the friends his age are outnumbered by adults. Interesting scene with Remus looking worn and going over Sirius’s will with Harry. He must have been pretty solitary these past weeks. I wonder if Remus would be able to take official guardianship from Dumbledore?

After this somber scene, leave it to the twins to liven things up with fireworks, an exploding cake and the classic Weasley poem. I wonder if Harry realizes the twins must have written it. . .
I love Ginny causing a flameworthy reaction in her new outfit. It sounds lovely. She responded perfectly, both teasing and comforting him.

A normal teenaged boy would get clothes, music, games. Poor Harry gets ‘how not to die’ handbooks. At least the younger Weasleys came through and got him some enjoyable things. The pensieve sounds like fun, but I’m afraid those memories will have more of a negative, brooding effect on Harry. I guess I can only wait and see.

Thank you for sharing such an interesting story with others. I think it’s very brave of authors to post. Thanks to your betas. Best Regards,
Pix’ellie
