Hi Jeconais,

Checking the date of the last update, I realize it may have been a while since you've touched this particular story. Be that as it may, I hope you don't mind a little belated feedback.

I am absolutely loving reading This Means War. It's playful, witty, and quite honestly hilarious. I finished reading Half-Blood Prince for the first time only about a week ago, and while my head was still in the clouds, I've been seeking some fiction to prolong my enjoyment of the series. I'm glad your story was one of the first ones I stumbled upon. I'll be hard-pressed to find other stories like this to pass the time until Deathly Hallows arrives.

In any case, I hope you didn't mind some feedback from an appreciative reader. I hope to see more of your talented work as I browse.

Sincerely,
Justin

'Lily's hangdog eyes when he had done something that went a little too far, and James' reproachful look' -- shouldn't this perhaps be 'James' hangdog eyes . . . and Lily's reproachful look'?
Very effective (and humourous) use of repetition in the story of the girls after Harry

Why would Padfoot want to burry and bone in a tree? And whoo, so many girls, so little time, literally. Very very good.

This Means War!

This-is-the-best-fanfiction-I've-ever-read!    The poetry part- did you make it up?  no matter anything you do, it turns out really good!  Still, as I have read all of the chapters, and am now going to review them,   THe Ball?!  it dissappered.       a running chase. hm, THe Talk is quite funny, especialy - Padfoot gets in trouble about it.  The blackmailing Mmail was pretty interesting, as it shows you put thought into this story.

Well, even if I don't understand why Sirius is alive, I'm thoroughly enjoying his banter in the mmaels. And the four girls racing to ask Harry first was hillarious.

Dear Jeconais
Another wonderful chapter! I like how you have Sirius call Harry on his sentimentality. It's something I can picture in cannon as well as underscores Harry having few adult women in his life. I have a small critique, and certainly don't expect you to change anything on my opinion. The emailing seemed to be a bit excessive, but it's a unique plot device and key to your style here.

Does Hermione know Everyone? (G) I love that all these people keep her in the know. She could spy for the Order. It's nice to see a true friendship evolve between Hermione and Ginny independant of the boys. I can picture Ginny needing a girl to confide in that's closer to her own age. As the youngest and only girl of four, I can empathize.

Giggle, Padfoot giving Prongs Jr. a sex talk over whiskey and Ginny getting stealth snogged back both made me laugh. Draco getting kneed for his come on (and comeuppance) was very funny as well. Loved the set up: ". . .Strange cosmic forces are at work." Four girls, four houses one boy. There can be only one. . .
And Dumbledore just happens to be in place to catch the show? Hee Hee. Harry getting tackled and Ron's realization of just what his sister planned was priceless. You've incorporated a great many characters, and although a few seem slightly out of character, it feels to be only a lttle bit of a stretch. The story is well within believablity, at least to me.

Much more humor in this section than the first, establishing post, and now I can't wait to see how Harry and Ginny relate as a couple. More non suprise kissing I hope.

Finally, just to comment on your fundamentals, your spelling, grammar and sentence structure has been very good throughout. The temptation to rush your ideas to your readers must me high, and shortcuts in proofreading tempting. I appreciate you not taking them. (Even as I rush through a cursory proofread of my feed back to you, I can only suggest do as I say. . .G) Clear, fluid prose is always interesting to read, and you combine strong basics with wit and humor and honest puppy love emotion. I can't wait to read chapter three.
Thank you for taking to time to create an interesting and enjoyable story and for sharing it with others. Your a braver man (or woman) than I Gunga Din. .

Sincerely,
pix'ellie
