| Thank you! Yeah - I wanted to do something a little different with Ginny and that's what I ended up with. Aunt Petunia is having a bit of a nervous breakdown and Uncle Vernon doesn't want to discuss it with Harry. "Not normal, it is," to quote him. Harry's treatment at the Dursleys, his continued stay at Privet Drive and his final cessation of communication with his friends are my literary attempt at bringing a feeling of foreboding isolation to the story. By the end of the summer Harry is left alone, lying in the darkness... All the more challange for Ginny and her character needs to be up to it! |

So what's up with Petunia? Is she pouting? Or is it related to the blood magic? Nice Harry is letting everyone know, but so many people .
And Ginny realizes what Harry needs .

Petunia is having a nervous breakdown. It's not specifically mentioned in the story as Uncle Vernon is keeping this from Harry and everything at Privet Drive is being told from Harry's POV. This is one of the plot lines I'm using to show Harry becoming more and more isolated.
As far as the prophecy goes, Harry is telling everyone he thinks has the need to know, which includes Neville (for obvious reasons), Hermione and Ron (can't leave them out), Ginny and Luna (because they went along with him to the MOM, and Molly and Arthur (also for obvious reasons).
And, of course, there's Ginny. This is a character-building subplot which will become stronger and stronger as the story progresses. I wanted to do something with Ginny to build her as a character. I think JKR hasn't done enough to get her where I needed her for this story. Her relationship with Harry will become of primary importance as the story progresses and I need her to be believable, likeable, and strong.

| Thanks for the review! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. I have to give credit to my betas, Shannon, Nancy, and Rachel, for much of the style and grammar. At this point in time I was trying to mirror JKR as much as possible and Shannon and Rachel helped me a great deal to clean up and clarify my writing. Later on, Magnolia Mama helped me a great deal with style, simplifying it and making it easier to read. I hope you enjoy future chapters just as much. Chapter 13 is in the works, but it will be a few weeks before it is posted. I've still got quite a bit to flesh out and no time to do it! |

Yard work can be very therapeutic. I'm glad Harry is doing it. What's wrong with Petunia? Hm. Hope Harry can make a difference there. Seems as if Dud and Vern aren't helping her.
