Oh, my first stories. I'm glad they're still being read. It was fun to speculate how H/G would get together after OotP (even though most of us got it wrong. LOL) Thanks for reading!

Wonderful 3 parter. I thought at first, "Yay short and sweet fluffiness!", then I saw Red is the heart, the novel sequel to this bit. Needless to say, I was ecstatic and could hardly wait to read through it, but that's a different review.. Who would've figured 'wallpapering' would have such deep insinuations to it?

I don't laugh out loud often when I read, but you're quite quick and I found myself giggling. It was a very sweet story - I wish it had happened this way, I missed having more H/G moments in HBP because I always knew they would be together. Maybe there will be more in book 7! Keep writing!

Yes it was a dark place - but good finally came out of it.  It's an inversion of the Lucky You scene from OotP - same room and everything.  Thanks for reading!

You know, I've read this story before and I have no idea why I didn't review it. lol.  The title starts off piquing interest right away- it's different.  Your version of Harry and Ginny are believable and pair well against one another.  The plot is original, in that it is everyday occurances, but it still holds the reader's attention amazingly well.  Who would have thought wallpaper could be so engaging?  :-)  There are no misunderstandings with meaning or intent of the fic and it leaves the reader flooded with positive feelings.  I enjoy the balence between your dialogue and prose was excellent.

Good writing, good characters, good story.  Keep up the good work!

Except now 'wallpapering' in our house is the byword for something illicit.  Right up there with 'scarlet woman'."

Ahhh I laughed at that one...and a few other things too... Though I am in my school library, so I got a few funny looks. I suppose this is what I get for reading fluffy goodness during school.

This is a very good story.  I've enjoyed all of it, including what is to come.  However, I feel the need to point out the one point that felt entirely false.

"Yeah, I miss him too." She glanced at him and took a deep breath.  "I think I fancied him a bit."

And Harry's only response is acceptance before kissing her?  I'd think the fact that she was attracted to Sirius would not be something that would precipitate Harry kissing her.  I'd think that would make Harry take a step quickly back.

"Yes Harry, I was very attracted to your godfather, who is quite a bit older than me.  But he's dead now, so I guess I can be with you.  How bout we kiss for a while?"  It just felt really, really wrong and totally took me away from the story.

I hope this comes accross as constructive criticism.  I really enjoy your work.  Just wanted to add my opinion.

Saturday 25th September 2004 00:14Wallpaper (Author Response)

I don't mind an opinion at all.  There are quite a few things I would change about this story, as a matter of fact.  This was my grand experiment in inversion - just the title is an inversion of the Lucky You conversation - it's in the same room (with a different outcome) than that scene at Christmas.

The crush on Sirius was meant to be as innocent as Ginny's crush on Harry way back in the day.  One of the many (unfair) criticisms of Ginny have been about that crush.  So I wanted to play with it a bit - and I wanted to show her open heart - which got her in trouble with Tom Riddle, btw.

Yet, timing is everything. I think that her little crush should have been mentioned earlier - in the story or even back in Wallpaper Moments when they are talking about the lady with the red dress.  Of course, when I wrote Wallpaper Moments - I was only writing a one-shot and had no clue it would go any further.

Thanks for your thoughts!

well, all three chapters were so enjoyable. Harry and Ginny finally kissing. It was so sweet.

Phineas Nigellus was absolutely hysterical. So insufferable, and so Slytherin. What a way to compliment Ginny. It had me in stitches.

I am not a fan-fic person. This story was the first I read on PhoenixSong and it was good enough to convince me that I should read more, dispite my initial misgivings. A very enjoyable story so far, the Fred and George bit expecially was spot on. Thanks for taking the time to write it!

I absolutely loved this. It was very poetic and moving and yet totally in character for each of them. You're an excellent writer. Is there a third part coming? The first part of it was excellent, but this second installment truly exceeded expectations. Very good work.

A wonderful ending to this great trilogy.

Again, the details were what made this particular story come alive. Harry braiding Ginny's hair, wallpapering meaning something illicit, and of course Phineus Nigellus!
