Hmmmm.... I wonder? They are showing signs of 'puppy' love, yet are acting like someone more mature than they age belies.

Oooh! The plot thickens. Now they're sharing thoughts? Neat. Wondered what it would take to get her to start asking questions. Sweet! Grindylows...very mysterious, wonder why they're back after such a long absence...

Poor Harry's falling hard. Heehee.

Consequences of the Heart

Another wonderful chapter.  I really like the way the feel of the beginning is different.  You are able to carry over Harry's optimism to his next task at the Weasleys' nicely.  The opening of four echoed the hopefulness of the end of three.  I enjoyed the way Harry believes now he's being forgiven, that Ginny is actively helping.  Plus, I like Ginny avoiding the question of why she's helping, exactly. *Grin*

I appreciate the little look Ginny gives him, after he thanks her.  I so enjoy the way these two are figuring out their own feelings, while getting hints of what the other may be thinking.  I can picture them in the bright sunshine under the apple trees, with Harry staring down at her.  Lovely imagery there.

Hee. "Harry wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but even he was starting to put things together."  Made me laugh out loud.   But this.  "What Harry was to do with this knowledge however, eluded him. "  That line, I could see in canon.  Poor Harry.  He knows it's the opposite of hate, just not what that means, exactly.  I can't wait until he puts all his clues together!

I love that Ginny can floo without getting sooty or falling, while Harry's (bad) luck still holds.  Do you think it's luck in Ginny's case as well, practice, or that unique girliness that allows her to smoothly get through? J
As a little sister, I can say Ginny would get over it, but I loved that Harry's protective instincts come out to play here, and that Ginny's come around as well.  (Plus, I enjoy seeing Ron get reminded of his manners now and again.)  Yay for Ginny belting him!  I loved Ron's shock, he must have thought they had both gone mad.  Hee.

This scene was key for me, because they didn't get embarr+blocked+ed afterwards, and Ginny reached out to touch Harry, not in comfort, or as part of the 'punishment' but in friendship.  A great deal has changed since they spoke about Sirius.

A minor quibble.  How come Ginny has to cook while the boys get to play?  Just asking? *Grin*

Harry missed Ginny.  (insert girly sigh here)  I can imagine he would, but the fun part is he's a little upset that it's so.  Maybe he's putting those pieces together….

You do a great job of writing the byplay between the oldest and the youngest, and the way they relate and tease.  (and that Bill's not falling for her pout.)  I love that he teases our favourite couple about snogging, and Harry being upset by it.  The problem was, I think, he didn't know why he was upset!

Hee.  Poor Harry.  The prybar wasn't enough?  A board smacks him as well?  With witnesses.  Hee.  Hee. Snort.  Oh, the poor boy.  I actually felt bad for laughing.  But he certainly notices Ginny now.

I find it interesting that Ginny keeps serving Harry outside, very romantic.  I'm glad they spoke a little about the duel, and the last bits of discomfort about it they may have.  Ginny has been making a pretty good effort, and Harry did seem pretty suspicious.  I like that he cleared a spot for her to sit, and helped clear the meal.  They are friends, and it's nice to see that on both sides.

Yay for Gryffidore courage!  Ginny asking Harry what he wants in a girl, and making him talk about it was a huge step forward for her.  Very brave.  Plus, it's nice to hear Harry say all the things that he keeps inside.

I was not surprised that Harry wanted to pay for all the materials the Weasleys were buying, and I wasn't surprised that Remus ended up teasing Harry about his feelings for Ginny.  I was surprised though, that Harry admitted Ginny was special to him.  I was expecting a larger fight than that.

Grr!  What is she singing.  I am now as curious as Harry is.  *Grin

What's a Harry Potter story without his life in danger.  I love that for once, Ginny gets to save him!  Plus, Harry's reaction to her in a wet dress was classic.  Hee.  Ginny handled it better than I would have.  Fear would have made me look for a reason to start  a fight, I think.  You do an excellent job of describing the confusion and flustered excitement Harry is experiencing.

What an ending though!  I never saw this coming!  How on earth did they exchange viewpoints?  Was it a connection from the bracelets, or now that Ginny has saved Harry, they are bonded in another way?  Or something else I haven't thought of yet? *grin…
I like that you aren't rushing the relationship, but I can't wait for a kiss.  (I so hope that there is a kiss...)

I loved this installment.  A fun, buoyant, flirtatious read, with an exciting, unusual ending.  I can't wait to read the next chapter to find out more.  Thank you for sharing your work, and pass along my thanks to your betas.  The spelling and grammar were wonderful.

Consequences of the Heart

What did just happen between?  Even though I'm about to go read the next chapter and find out, I still wanted to review this one.

I was wondering a bit about Ron in the past chapters, being that he hasn't been mentioned in the story.  If Harry's at the Burrow all day, it seems to me that Ron would spend some time with him, unless he's not allowed.  I just assumed that they saw each other, but it just wasn't mentioned in the actual story.  I'm not certain why I just wrote all of that... I guess i'm just explaining things to myself.

Anyway, I like how the relationship is progressing.  It's taken Harry a bit longer than Ginny... but that's to be expected... boys.

Ron's there, but in passing mention.  He and Harry play Quidditch if Harry can finish his chores on time.  Also, Ron's been working for Fred and George during 'high volume' times to pull in extra pocket money and to get some experience, so he's been out of the house a bit.  Also not in the story, but may come out in a future plot, Ginny normally works in the village to help make money for the family.  Obviously, this summer that didn't happen.

Consequences of the Heart

Hmmm... fascinating!  I tried starting this fic a while ago, but decided against it.  Now I felt the need to try again - and I am happy I succeded.  The beginning of the first chapter got me stumbling, and as I am extremely picky about the fics I read, I figured it was not worth it.  Well, imagine my surprise when I passed that first obstacle and found a lovely plot.  I must admit I loved Firenze's comment about "that plan of action would have an adverse impact on the battle against Voldemort".  Cool.  We all 'know' what Harry's power that 'the Dork Lord' knows not is, and Ginny's place in refining that power, don't we?

I have two small nitpicked objects for you.  One is the title - shouldn't it be consequences instead of consquences?  Or is there a reason for the spelling that I'm too thick to get?  The other is Molly's maiden name, I believe it is spelled Prewett, not Prewitt.

Well done, I look forward to the next installment!

I'm glad you decided to give my little fic a go. The first chapter is always the hardest because it can turn off a reader (like you mentioned) and the rest never gets read! The title is fixed, as is Molly's maiden name. Thanks for the help!

I am really enjoying this story, the growth between Harry and Ginny as they move from hate to "something else" and all the stages inbetween is perfectly paced, it's so nice to see realisation slowly take place for once :D

Just wonderful! The whole 'apologise!' scene, so reminiscent of James and Snape in the Pensieve and the slow dawning awareness within Harry of his emotions. I found this beautifully written and described so that I would dispute your assertion to another author in a review.

For my gold, this says you can!  You are clearly a keen observer of people and this shows in your characterisations. As my friend would say,

"Abair ach beag, is abair gu math e." Translated from the Scottish Gaelic this is, Say a little and say it well. Only my opinion, but I think you have done so. Even more interested now that I have an idea where you are going and I'm enjoying the scenery all the more!

You are too kind.  I do fancy myself a good observer and consequently, a good listener.  The trick has been translating that into being a good communicator.  With a little help from some friends, I've come a long way in the past few months.

Glad you like my story!
