Really good so far! the only line I didnt like was: "It could scare him into appreciating us again." b/c I don't think that Ron or Hermione would be dim enough to think that Harry didnt appreciate them. I think they get that it's just who he is. Like JKR says: "But, he has no one else to shout at... He’s very alone."
Grand story though! Really awesome and I'm on to the next chapter! |

Heh. I like Hermione's grammar correction.
Another great chapter Fude. You've got a real handle of Hermione and Ron, and you write them so very well. His package to her was very thoughtful, I like what you put it in. I also like that Hermione can giggle, and it's not OC. She is a girl after all, and we're allowed to be silly over a guy now and then.
Send me the next chapter soon, eh.

Short but sweet and with many good insights into canon Hermione. I loved the grammar correction! D'you think we could get Hermione as another Beta? *grin*
I also enjoyed Ron's line 'it could scare him into appreciating us again', which says far more about Ron's feeling of Harry's attitude than many more words could say.

Thanks BaF!! Hopefully there will be more soonishly Chptr 3 has been pre-betaed, I just need to make the corrections and send it back to her etc. Then it goes into Beta.
I'm glad you picked up on Ron's insight... I think he's a lot more perceptive than many in fandom give him credit for, and I think he was more hurt than Harry's behaviour than anyone else

Thank you! Longer chapters I'm glad you like it so much! I find it easier to read when the chapters sit between the 1,000 - 1,500 mark so that's what I'm doing here, it makes the story full of lots of chapters, but they're shorties so that people can read them on-the-go, so to speak

I liked Ron's suggestion that Hermione distract Harry with her news, especially the mischevious nature of the suggestion.
Like chapter one, though, I just don't see Ron being this open with
Hermione. Granted, we haven't ever seen HP from Ron or Hermione's
POV, so it's difficult to tell, I'm just not feeling the characters
here acting like I would expect them.
Good chapter, though. I look forward to reading chapter three.

You da man And like I said in my response to chapter 1, I honestly believe their friendship deepened and their relationship changed in OotP... we just didn't get to see it properly because Harry was being broody and rather self absorbed for the whole year (not that he didn't have a right to but you know)

| I know this chapter is meant to be touching, and a bit sad, and a little cute (and it is all those things) but the image of Hermione trying to pull Pigwidgeon out of her hair was hilarious. |
