"Where's the dog?"
Aw...poor Harry, looking for Sirius.
Good story. |

Good to see Harry opening up to Ginny. Wonder what Dumledore's got up his sleeve. |

What a powerful chapter! |

I'm so glad that you don't have to rebuild a relationship with Harry and Ginny again. And I'm glad that he knows that he needs her, and that he can talk to her. (Loved the massage scene)
I'm also happy that he has Remus. I hope he'll have him until the end. Harry really deserves a bit of happiness. He does not deserve the fate that's been washed his way. (where does Remus go when he transforms?)
Looking forward to reading the next chapter. I'm wondering what Dumbledore is going to do about a safe place for him. And will he need a secret keeper? I hope he learns from his father's and Sirius' mistake, and really get someone he can absolutely trust, and not just go on a whim.
Nice Chapter. |

Your writing is really good yet once again.
I'll just ask, when is someone going to put Dumbledore in his place. And the rest of the adults in this story?
Harry is near seventeen, and is the hope of the world. Ron is seventeen, Hermione turns 18 in september, and Ginny is Ginny.
I'm sorry, but there is just no way I would continue to let these people manipulate me in this manner. Perhaps if the adults in their lives treated them like the adults they have been forced to be they would handle it better.
Ginny being ticked about things is great, she is the only one to have faced Voldemort besides Harry and Dumbledore. For the record, she beat him the first time. If you remember she threw away the diary, freed herself, she only fell when she tried to save Harry by stealing it back from him. So when is she going to start truely fighting? |
DADAGinny Friday 14th January 2005 12:31 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned |
I so like the way you still have Sirius looking after Harry.
Dang it, another conversation with Ron interrupted!
Ha! Caught by Dumbledore! Poor Ginny!

No misquoted PoA characters present in this review. In its own way, this chapter is beautiful and very sensitively written. I can just feel the love radiating through the Weasley family as they try to help each other and Harry through this awful time. I think my favorite scene was the one in Harry's and Ron's bedroom when the two boys find the time to really talk to each other; Ginny's contribution to Harry's peace of mind immediately following made me choke up a little as well. Harry is one lucky wizard to have friends like Ron and Ginny as well as Mrs. Weasley who has his best interest at heart. |

My favorite stories are always the ones with supportive Weasleys. I love when they defend Harry, so I tend to lean that way myself. Harry is very lucky to have them. |

Hi there - hope your holidays have been going well. Another wonderful chapter! One thing I really like about your stories is that they are so absorbing that I really look forward to updates without you resorting to cliffhangers. I always FEEL like there is a cliffhanger - just because I am so in to the story that I can't wait for your next chapter. Thanks so much for that. Don't worry about your muse - I'm sure she's just been hiding from all the Christmas chores flying around your brain. She'll come out once it's safe to do so. |

Wow, what a great thing to hear, thanks! I'm glad you're anticipating. I'm working on the next chapter now. I really hope that muse comes back, I always refer to "him" as a male somehow, probably because "he's " so obstinate! |

Thanks for pushing on and publishing this just before Christmas; it
made for some good reading after Christmas lunch! Now if you
could publish 9 more chapters for every day of my Christmas/New Year
break I'd be most grateful ... :-)
Reasons why you are one of my (equal first) favourite writers - the
attention and detail you give to the Weasleys, particularly our
favourite red-headed girl. Loved the talk between the four,
Fred's comments, and how Harry's nobility - his treatment at the hands
of the Dursleys - was noted by those around him throughout.
Particularly with Ginny at the end of the chapter. You write the
relationships between Harry and his friends so *warmly* and so well.
Darn, I wish Ginny hadn't waltzed in just then when Harry was getting
Ron to open up about his duel. I've been waiting for that for a
few chapters now ... :-( ... you are one big tease!
Thanks for all the enjoyment throughout the year with Power of Emotion
and now this. I continue to be amazed that there are authors out
there who spend so much time and effort on giving us so much
pleasure. Have a great Christmas!

Ha Ha yeah right. Even if I could get my beta to whip through them that fast, then I'd have nothing in reserve and you'd have to wait a month between each chapter instead of a week. Everyone would lost interest, sorry.
I love the Weasleys, I love everything about them and think there is plenty more to them that could be explored. Besides, I like to see Harry gettng the chance for acceptance. Thanks for the compliments and I'm glad you're enjoying. |
nerdysunny Friday 24th December 2004 16:40 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned |
Nice Chapter. By the way, are Harry's magical reserves still
burnt out, cause he seems to be recovering a little bit faster than
last time. In the prophecy concerning harry and Voldemort--either
must die at the hand of the other, right, how come Ginny didn't realize
that when she first heard the prophecy, it was pretty clear cut.
|
Sunday 26th December 2004 18:21 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned (Author Response) |
Well, Harry wasn't hurt as badly physically this time as he was the last time, so, yeah, he is healing more quickly. He's also surrounded by people who love him and are trying to help him, so the difference lies there. As for Ginny, she's not completely clear on the prophecy probably because I'm not. I'm not completely certain there isn't something in there I'm missing, so, I guess, Ginny is reflecting that. |
weasleysrcool Friday 24th December 2004 10:36 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned |
Wow. Simply wow. It just keeps getting better and better. You are truly a Mistress of dramatic tension. I love that. Fred's revelation in this chapter was incredibly moving. My heart went out for him. I've been in that situation before. You captured it perfectly. |
Friday 24th December 2004 12:38 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned (Author Response) |
Thanks, I love that title, lol. Can I keep it? Glad you liked Fred, the twins's are high on my favorite list. |

I'm glad that he finally started talking. Good job, Ginny, buttering him up first.
Oooh...what is Dumbledore going to say? |
Friday 24th December 2004 07:12 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned (Author Response) |
Ginny is a smart cookie, isn't she? I love that girl. DD starts off the next chapter. |
rondastarr Thursday 23rd December 2004 23:05 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned |
What could Dumbledore possiblely say to at this point? I mean how much worse could he feel ? Well I'm sure you have a pretty good idea of how much worse is going to feel. I love this story, the / most of all. Your doing a great job. Merry Christmas |
Friday 24th December 2004 07:11 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned (Author Response) |
Well, I don't think DD ever tries to purposely make Harry feel worse, even though he usually does. Harry is angry now, and in need of an outlet... |
Firenze Thursday 23rd December 2004 22:44 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned |
First of all I want to say that this is a very nice chapter. There was some nice buildup of Fred and George's character. It's always so much more better when they can be shown to take things seriously as well as be humorous. I liked the way you made Ron interact with Harry, and also the tender moment b/w Harry and Ginny was pretty well done. Now I'm just waiting for Dumbledore to say what he has to say...
|

Wonderful chapter. I'm glad that Harry started to respond to Ginny a little more at the end. Excellent timing there, Professor Dumbledore! Lol.
Looking forward to the next chapter, as always. I hope you have a lovely Christmas! |

I am really glad Harry stopped being so stupid by the end of this chapter. Poor thing, i thought it was going to be a little harder for him to accept that they were dead but you did it perfectly. I hope you get your muse back too.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed. No, there wasn't a lot to smile about, but I couldn't have him laughing and joking after what he just went through, could I? He's got one more hurdle next chapter before things improve. |

A cliffhanger, what a lovely Christmas present! Joking aside a well done chapter. The emotions potrayed are believable and painful and redeeming at the same time.
I hope your muse returns. I would suggest some Absinth. |
Thursday 23rd December 2004 14:59 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned (Author Response) |
Aww, come on, that wasn't much of a cliffy, was it? It could have been MUCH worse, lol. And I didn't have him walk away from Ginny, that counts as a present, doesn't it? Doesn't it?
What is Absinth? I'll try anything at this point. |
blinieldar Thursday 23rd December 2004 11:03 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned |

Merry Christmas!!
I loved this chapter, mostly at the end, when Harry finally opens up and talk to Ginny. I'm impatient to see Ron doing the same.
Well, enjoy the holidays. I'll be waiting for an update, but I'll undestand if it doesn't come until after New Year. |
Thursday 23rd December 2004 14:56 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned (Author Response) |
And a Merry Christmas to you, as well. Thank you, glad you enjoyed. You're going to have to wait a while on Ron, though. |
rdprice29 Thursday 23rd December 2004 09:42 | Harry Potter and the Curse of the Damned |
Excellent continuation to the story, and I'm really glad you have Ginny so staunchly by Harry's side to help keep him from sinking too deeply into the depression that was inevitable after his relatives' murder.
I hope your muse comes back soon, it's torture enough already having to wait for Friday to read the next chapter...I don't want to imagine having to wait longer!
Have a wonderful holiday with your family, and thanks for the great reading!
