This whole fic was a masterpiece. It was fantastic. Why do I pick out one scene that will stay by me as a beautiful piece of writing? It is the scene where the Hogwarts Ghosts sort Beth into her house, and her joy in finally having a family. It was so poignant to have Cedric speak with Harry to assure him that his death was not Harrys fault, but his choice to share the trophy, and the honors. This was beautiful and my most favorite part of the whole fic. I enjoyed it all, actually. Thank you R.O.

Wow.
Now I see the influence.
Thanks for the small history/motivational lesson.

You have completed this story perfectly, I like the story behind Invictus too. I hope to hear more stories from you.

Thanks for this story. I know that's a bit inadequate, but that epilogue shook me up enough that my vocabulary has gone elsewhere. I have tearstains on my keyboard - and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Thanks for the Addendum also: it's always nice to learn more about someone's inspirations, and there's a lot to think about in Stockdale's words.

Speaking of words, as much as I loved Imogen's original stories, I believe yours have an additional depth beyond anything Imogen gave us. To have Harry come through a  - not defeat, exactly - but certainly not a victorious situation, without  stepping over into angst or making light of the situation is not an easy thing, but it is one you have managed well. I have enjoyed this story immensely, and learned from it also, and am definitely looking forward to reading more of your work in future. May your muse remain forever unconquered - in Latin or otherwise!

Thanks again,
