A Different Boy Who Lived
I think it's believable, we have to remember that this is a very different world from Harry being the Boy-Who-Lived

I thought the Fidelius was cast on a location not a person.
So it looks like Neville is almost as awkward as in canon . . . shy anyway. it'll be interesting to see what role Harry will play as he's no longer the one who has to defeat Voldie. I guess that's why you had to have Neville raised by Lily and James, so that Harry could have a central role in the story.
I want to hear the story about Colin's accidental magic (especially since it made the Creevey's move)

With regards to the Fidelius, my understanding is that there are two ways that it can be cast. The way it was cast to protect the Potters in canon:

"As long as the Secret-Keeper refused to speak, You-Know-Who could search the village where Lily and James were staying for years and never find them, not even if he had his nose pressed against their sitting room window!"

which involves making a person undetectable in a certain location. Or the way it was cast on Headquaters, where the secret is the location of a building rather than it's occupants.

Neville will develop in the coming chapters. he might still be awkward, but ceratinly not to the degree of canon. Keeping Harry in the story is part of the reason why I wanted Neville raised by the Potters. However, the story does not revolve around Harry, but around the two of them.

The story of Colin's accidental magic... I'd completly forgotten about that. perhaps I'll have to write an outtake about it.

Well, I guess Colin won't be all annoying when they go to Hogwarts, 'cause he already meet "The-Boy-Who-Lived."

Colin will always be annoying, he'll just have to find someone else to annoy (perhaps he'll annoy all of Gryffindor tower with stories about Neville... probably not though) Thank you for your review.

Another great chapter...I especially like how you handle the awkwardness of the adults making Lily the facilitator!  That part is very well done.  I also enjoyed the last exchange between the three boys and Colin's bewilderment over Harry having told him that Neville was his imaginary friend.  Children can be so very accepting and Colin seems to be one of them.  Well done...I look forward to Chapter 6.

Thank you.  Really?  I found that part awkward to write.  I'm glad you liked it.  I also enjoyed that last part.  And yes Colin is very accepting.  He's going to have to be considering what he's going to be exposed to as time goes on.  The real question is how much will his parents be able to explain away by way of his imagination?  But I'm getting ahead of myself...
