This was so sweet!! Poor Harry. All those almosts...but he reaped the rewards when Ginny came to collect him for the dance. You should do more one-shots like this.  By the way, the fiery, frozen Snape was a lovely touch. That's well worth a detention. Good job! Sugar

This was so incredibly cute and sweet and I loved it so much. It was great. I can't seem to describe it other than with these meaningless words. But keep on writing! I'm adding you to my update list; hope to see more from you!

Hey hon!
I've been keeping my eagle eyes on your reviews (and now feel like big brother).  You know, if you have anything to change re Snape, then I can put it in for you.  I have the power of editing (and a good job - this uploaded very oddly the first time round!).  And thank you very very much for your kind comments.  Made me blush.

Because this is a review, I want to say how much I enjoy reading this story.  I love the situations Harry finds himself in on his quest to ask Ginny to the ball and I think you wrote a very good ending - a nice balance of fluff and humour.

I loved the image of Prof. Snape:  charred and frozen - classic!  Nice job, and a very cute story!

I love that image of him, too.  Yes, I admit, the Snape/Fireworks scene was fun to write and I fiddled with it endlessly.  He had that all coming, you know.  Though, I'm not entirely happy with the way he extinguishes himself in the Hospital Wing, it's out of character.  Grrr - epiphany flash just happened as I'm writing this.  Wouldn't you know, now that it's posted and unchangeable -- NOW I've thought of something more in character.  Sigh.

Oooops!  Bad typo in my review below.... I do of course mean that Harry owes Ginny a new bag.

Oh Harry does indeed owe Ginny a new bad, and I think he'll just be too happy to comply.  Maybe she even gets a Dyson (from TLOS, if I remember correctly)?

Misunderstandings are a major obstacle towards happiness - I am glad Harry and Ginny resolved theirs.  In other words, I am really happy for Harry that he has Ginny.  Go Ginny!

Sweet story!  I really enjoyed it.

Maybe she does.  :)  I like Kokopelli, too.  Thanks for the reference.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story.  It was fun to delve into.  I stopped work on a Lupin/Tonks fic last February to have a go at this challenge.  The L/T fic will probably never see the light of day.  Great honking chaptered things aren't my style yet.

Good.  I was hoping that worked.  The original ending was a good bit cheesier.  I like this one better too.  Thank You!

Tante!
You're back -- and you're not writing as Molly Weasley? :(

This is good, though. I like the series of events.
Sulking!Harry is fun to read and to write, and you seem to do that well.

Good work!

Thanks SonicDale!.  Glad you found this enjoyable.  :)

Rest assured, Molly will have updates within the next week or so.  I have three chapters in the finishing touches stage and about ready for my fabulous beta.

Speaking of the excellent Antonia East, I forgot to note my thanks before she posted it for me.  She earned her keep in this one and really helped polish it.  It has quite a few beneficial changes from the original Fic-a-Fest version and is a good deal less soppy thanks to her.  She's a fabulous author and a sensitive, tactful beta.  I could gush on and on but I'll save your eyes the pain.  I appreciate her tremendously.
