I have read the whole story so far and I have loved it. This premise is great and I think you are doing a great job with it. I know that you are busy and can't keep the updates coming but I am eagerly waiting them.

I'm thinking Harry is trying a little too hard to change the little things. Everyone that shouldn't is becoming way to suspicious of him and that could turn out to be a very bad thing.

There was always going to be a lot of events re-occuring in this story, but it's good to see some interesting ways to deal with that. Having Harry relate part of the story in brief through a letter was a good idea that worked very well, and fitted nicely in with the rest of the chapter. Though it was also good to see you weren't determined to repeat everything. You proved yourself able to jump brief periods of time (such as a day or two) in a way that didn't leave a nagging feeling of missing plot, whilst still covering all the memorable parts of Harry's first term at Hogwarts. All in all, a lot of time was covered in this chapter, but the events still had a fresh spin on them, and the chapter didn't feel like it was missing anything.

Harry's monologues in this chapter help the reader continue to empathise with Harry, especially Harry's internal debates regarding Snape. Seeing almost a conversation inside Harry's own head helped to convey his conflicting emotions, fleshing out this merged Harry even more. Also, this monologue did well in suggesting some darker aspects to Snape's legillimency, without confirming whether or not those suggestions were true or not. Leaving some things undecided helps the readers to better engage with the story, taking it on their own terms, inserting a small amount of their own ideas into it. Definately a nice touch.

The beginning of martial arts training was also handled well, with both Hermione's reaction and the boys' stamina gratifyingly sensible. Especially concerning the martial arts, it was good to see that you are again taking a realistic approach as to how healthy the boys would initially be; considering a lot of fan factions have Harry turn into some kind of super-human, it was good to see the undeniable weakness in his and his friends' stamina. Not using a super-human Harry is definately a credit to your work.

The change of events regarding the flying lesson was another well-concieved and interesting twist, with believable events causing the reader to wonder along with Harry just how much events are going to be familiar with what is known. Again, making the reader think along the same lines as Harry does very well in creating empathy.

This is another chapter that reflects positively on your skills as a writer, and further makes this story the best fan fiction I have come across so far.

I love the prospect that it all is controlled by Fate, adn Harry can't change some things. I'm excited to see how this plays out!

Gosh! Scare me a little more will ya fate sounds creepy. I like your Harry's progress though.. its definitely sound movement in the right direction.. i noticed this time that you really don't involve dumbledore as much in the earlier chapters, something that alluded me the last few times ive read your story.. interesting what you notice when you reread something.

Good chapter. I like the way you include the little details such as Hedwig liking her head scratched and the Whomping Willow having an obnoxious personality. Well done. I hope Harry can fight fate though.

It's an interesting dilemma he faces. If fate is immutable, then there was no point in going back to change things. On the other hand, he already has changed some things, so obviously the first statement cannot be entirely true. And then there's the possibility that it was all a coincidence. The chain of events was really not very unlikely, so if Fate did have a hand in it it certainly didn't go far out of its way.

Could it be Snape is digging himself in deeper? Will be interesting to see whether Harry files a formal complaint or not . Interesting playing with the philosophical issue of fate .

Personally, Harry's showing off in potions should have already blown his cover. You might as wel ask a high school physics student his/her first day in class to discuss string theory as a mathematical and physical concept.

Wow!! Just wow. I have to admit that I had decided on three seperate occasions not to read this fic as I have a bit of a prejudice about timetravel fics. But, then one of the mailing lists I am on was discussing it so I gave it a go. I'm glad I did.

I'm also ashamed to admit tht I don't always review unless I have somethign to nitpick about. With this fic I have been enjoying it too much to stop and review and have just been clicking next as fast as possible.

So, I figured since I have nitpicks this time I woudl write all the rest as well. Anyway here are my nitpicks.

How do Draco and his crew know 4th year attack spells? Stupify is difficult for some 4th years to learn from the books. Harry knowing all of them is fine obviously but ... dunno that bothered me.

Second, you did not write anythign about Harry taking up an excercise routine before now. He is not that well nourished so why is Ron not in better shape than him? Or worse why is Ron in significnatly worse shape?

Those are pretty small nitpicks though, and as I said just WOW!

Pay close attention to who was getting money from Draco's dad. And who was *right there* to cover for Draco and company the second the fight was over? Interesting, hmmmm?

Ron doesn't get a lot of exercise before this. Flying a broom does NOT build cardiovascular capacity. Harry got a lot of exercise running away from Dudley and his gang when they were 'Harry-Hunting'.

The opposition is definitely stepping things up -- I hope Neville isn't seriously hurt. Harry would have a really hard time dealing with that. And fate does seem to be pushing back...maybe it's easier to alter people's attitudes, rather than specific events?

Loved the letters to and from Ginny, and the lack of nightmares after her letter. Harry deserves a little happiness; he needs to live, not just work to change events.

Great continuation of the story!  Is there such thing as fate?  An unseeing force that will ultimately lead to a similar end point, regardless of the path chosen or how circumstances may be manipulated.  You've created a great foundation for your story and given us juicy items to ponder with each chapter.  I'm looking forward to how this will all unfold.

~Well done!

The existence and persistence of fate is deep philosophical question that has dire ramifications for Harry. If Fate does prove to be immutable, Harry's still going to give it a heck of a fight before he dies.

I love this chapter! Harry training Neville and Ron, too funny. Was the sword training book Harry picked up actually for sword training? I can't wait to see what that'll look like. The American wizards sound very awesome I must say, all their moves sound brilliant. That's horrible, poor Neville. Now I wonder if Harry's decisions are going to make a difference at all. Harry still had to dive and catch something. That stinks. I'm very curious to see what Ginny has to say!  I can't wait to read some more! Update as soon as you're able!

This so seldom happens and is greatly appreciated when it does! I started a fic and got just PULLED IN -I lost my whole weekend to it! And I'm so HAPPY about this. In earlier reviews I read, I saw this fic is much further advanced on another site, so I found it there and could NOT stop reading. It's Wonderful. So well written I've gasped outloud at parts. Thank You for this story. I will be reccing it Everywhere I can. Now, I'm off to join your Yahoo Group so I can chat more on it!!

Thank you! There's a certain amount of clean-up going on with my wonderful Beta, Kokopelli, so the chapters appearing here should be considered the 'final' versions. The Yahoo group is interesting. We have quite a mix of HP fans, Naruto fans, and all-around geeks.

Oh my God. This is amazing! So many times I read fics like this that just don't have it, and go in the wrong direction, or forget logic altogether, but this is wonderful. The characters are believable, true to canon and the events, the timeline and things that happen are well thought out and your writing is interesting and well expressed. Can't wait for the next installment! Gypsy.

but this time events occurred that… pushed… things back to the way they were before. - Neat idea, but I have a feeling that your Harry is going to push more and harder.  How many years is your fic going to cover?

Snape is wonderfully nastier than expected.  I hope Harry fails to get him fired though I wouldn't mind seeing him and Draco roughed up a  bit.

I know that’s a foreign concept. It’s someone who likes me regardless of whether I have money, or what my last name is.  - Made me smile.  Your Harry is so much more sarcastic!

Ginny and Harry's steady correspondence is great.  Looking forward to see how you handle Riddle's diary.  Its highly absorbant pages might make a great substitute for toilet paper.

1) the hard outline covers through fourth year. I'm still debating how bloody to make year five. Make of that what you will. 2) for a variety of reasons, Harry is taking a harsher attitude with the people that made his life a living hell before. The flipside of that is he is escalating a lot of those conflicts much faster than the first time around. 3) With all he's been through, Harry's got the right to be as bitter and sarcastic as your typical British sit-com. ;) 4) Was that a reference to U-NO-POO, the constipation sensation that's sweeping the nation?
