Unexpected Encounters
This is great! One thing, about all nephews, In DH, it says "Our Vicky, kissing Our Teddy!" and how he would be part of the family, ect. So, Vicky must be a Weasley....So Ginny Must have a niece.....But otherwise, this is a really good story!

This is great! I love the way you have Dudley narrate, and it's good to see that he has a logical reason for changing. And I like Harry's skepticism at first, if he just jumped right in it would be unbelievable. Very well-done story. I really like it a lot.

Yes. Yes, yes, yes YES!!! This is it! This is how things are supposed to turn out. People do grow up and people do change and even Dudley can turn out to be a nice guy, especially with this back ground story. This is really good and I hope to see more of this soon!

I haven't been reading here much lately, but I came back specifically to see if this story has been updated and get on your update list. I would love to see at least one more chapter where Dudley visits Harry and Ginny. As others have mentioned, I normally wouldn't have read this story, but it is SO well written and heart-warming. I really want Harry to have some family of his own just as you've written.

I stumbled upon this in the Stories of the week section ... and I enjoyed it a lot. I hope you haven't abandoned it.
So now, I'm looking forward to Dudley's visit in Hogsmeade... He'll be stunned sing a magical household, I suppose.
And, you do know that Dudley needs a girl? He sounds so lonely, living alone in the flat, meeting some friends once in a while... I can't believe I'm feeling sorry for him, really.

Excellent! The characters seem very real, rather than mere caricatures.

Hi,

I'm really enjoying the story. I think you've managed to figure out a realistic change for Dudley. Having been to University myself I can vouch for how much one can change in three years.

I can't wait for two things.
One, Dudley visiting the magical world, and
Two, Vernon and Petunia finding out, that should be entertaining.

This is a lovely story. And by having this told from Dudley's POV the glimpses we get from Harry and Ginny's life so far are very tantalising. So please write more ... soon.
Thanks for sharing the story.
cheers

this is a great and fun story...however, i do have one issue. you seem to have a tendency to write big blocks for paragraphs...while not necessarily a problem, it was kind of hard to focus in on the story in the beginning, until i got back into the plot (and therefore just couldnt put it down...and yearned for more when i reached the end...). this could become a problem though if the story ever starts to slow down.

i dunno...just my two cents, and i wanted to leave something constructive.

otherwise, i love this story...it's an interesting way to play with Dudley.

This was good! The interaction between Harry and Dudley was excellent. I like it a lot. I like the way you've matured Dudley. It makes for a really neat twist to the story. Very original! Harry and Ginny are perfect, of course. That bit with the miscarriage, although very sad, was very realistic. Thanks for sharing!

I having been reading your story and would like to apologize for not reviewing with each chapter. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Dudley's change and growth into a mature empathetic adult. It has provided a needed restitution for me that the books currently do not have; the abuse that Harry had to endure has always bothered me. (I think it is the mom in me.) I loved how your Harry and Ginny have been so caring and forgiving of Dudley and have allowed him to reach out to them. I am hoping that we will get to see Dudley interact in the magical world. I know that Ron and the twins woould have a hard time being as forgiving as Harry and Ginny are, but I would love to see your Dudley being enveloped in Molly's love. He deserves to experience feelings by a true mother. I'll anxiously await your next update.

"There's a difference between being related and being family." I really liked that line and the whole conversation that reconciled Harry and Dudley.

Looking forward to Dudley's visit to a wizarding home!

Don't apologize for the delay! It's definitely worth the wait. And, sadly, RL takes priority over fanfiction, for some bizarre reason. ;-)

I'm on the way out the door, so excuse me for simply saying I enjoyed the chapter, love the post-Hogwarts canon-feeling view of Harry & Ginny and I was deeply touched by Dudley's rant about all the realizations he came to.

Thank you!

Great chapter. I was wondering if Harry was going to invite Dudley to vist him and Ginny in the wizarding world. That should be interesting... and add a few chapters as well, I hope.

Ya don't suppose that Dudders might find him a witch to date, do ya?

Ginny being pregnant should give some more chapters to play with too.

Keep the updates coming. I look forward to them!

I didn't think that you could stretch this fic out his long given that its foundation is just that Dudley turns out decent. I was wrong. I'll be looking forward to every chapter and hoping for another one after that.

Dudley's apology was well written and got me a bit teary. Not the best thing to happen at work.

Hope you update soon and often!
