| Wow. You are a fantastic writer --- the balance of description, dialogue, and inner monologues in this piece is perfect, and your sentences have a unique, very comfortable flow. Everyone was really well characterized, as well, and the final scene is very moving. My only critique is that it really doesn't need a Mature rating --- Older Teen would suit just fine. Two thumbs up and a standing ovation! |

Of all the things you've written, this has been my favorite. I'm not sure it deserves a "mature" rating, but that's a niggling point. I'm not much for Post-HBP stories because I'm not all that fond of searching for Horcruxes, but this one hits the human points nicely.

| You have such an easy to read and well crafted writing style, that my only critisism is that the story was over too quickly! This would make a great full length piece as your attention to description builds the characters and atmosphere nicely and does not drag or feel like inept filler. It is a pleasure also to read something with decent syntax and no typos! I will look forward to finding more of your work and thanks for being the highlight of an other wise dull evening! Excellent writing, Velvethope, excellent. Wonderful pacing and an incredible choice of words - it reminds me of the masterful wordsmithing of Kazuo Ishiguro. The story line is tight and addictive, haunting almost, and I look forward to read the follow-up.
