I love what you're doing with this. It's such an interesting premise. Not one that I'd even thought about--but fascinating.

Thank you so much! I realy love writing "historical fanfiction"; there are subtle references in the books: the stuff at Grimmauld Place, the paintings, the Black family tree tapestry, the scene where Dumbledore and Harry "visit" the Gaunts- I just let my imagination go, and write it down.

She didn't think to wonder why.

Ooooh! This sentence gave me the shivers. I fear you're painting a facade of elegance and propriety here when really you're leading us down a dark and forbidden path. But if not, I shall enjoy this wonderful tale just as much. Bring on the musical evening, I say!

Wee... Two updates! And here I was already thinking of contacting you about whether you'd abandoned this story.

Both chapters have been very enjoyable and really well written. I'm growing fond of Lucrezia. Only Romanus Black is still a mystery to me - but then, I think he's supposed to be that.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter(s)!

Thank you! I'm glad you like the actual writing; this is my first "novel".
Romanus is a bit gothic, isn't he
