Heart of Gold
Hey Wings! Look at me, signed-in and everything, haha! It's all for you, my dear. This was a very compelling chapter. I really like (from a writing standpoint) the way Liam and Regulus' relationship is being strained by their beliefs, although it makes me sad (from an empathetic standpoint). I like Aislinn a lot too, she seems to have a lot of potential, hope we see more of her.

One question -- how far into Voldy's reign are we? Because when Regulus joined, it seemed that the reason he did so was that Voldy hadn't shown his true colors (torture, mass murder, etc)? But the public in your story has already started calling him You Know Who, and people aren't going out at night, etc, etc, indicating he's pretty far into his reign of terror? I thought that Voldy started out as just an extremist, so it makes sense that Regulus joined, and Liam's in political grps to fight against his influence. But then why are people saying You Know Who already, and being afraid to go out at night?

On another note, I loved the scene with Snape. I hope we see more of him - you are great at writing him. His dialogue was perfect - so true to canon. Really interesting dynamic, between him and Regulus. EEP! and I can only imagine what Voldy is going to do with those sketches!

Glad to hear that chapter 4 is coming along...can't wait for it! I MISSSS you, my dear. (call you soon!)

Pawprints, darling, I am very proud of you. I'm glad that you thought it was compelling - that is, of course, what I was going for. I'm glad that you feel like I am accomplishing the proper painting of Liam and Regulus' friendship - it's an interesting one, to be sure. Sometimes I wonder how my mind conceived it. I also like Aislinn.

In terms of Voldy's reign, you'll get a better idea in chapter 4, but it is before there have been mass killings. There have been disappearances and minor disturbances and individual killings, though, so the Dark Mark is already in use...he just hasn't tried anything really big yet. But there are whispers. Basically, he's been doing a lot of things very secretively, and in doing so he has created an aura of suspicion, which only increases the fear. He needs that aura of fear before he can do something large scale. Make sense?

Thanks also for your Snape comments - I was worried about him at first, but then I started writing him and he's awesome. I love writing Snape now. And I love writing Voldemort. Haha...you'll just have to wait and see but it would be good to remember those sketches...hmm...yes...

13 pages done at the moment...it's coming along! Miss you too, hun. The phone is always nearby

Heart of Gold
You know, I wonder why you don't get more reviews, and then again I don't.

This is an absolutely intriguing story, tense, dark and totally riveting. And of course it's scary to read because already at the beginning, one suspects that it'll all end badly and that no except for the bad guys has a chance of surviving... I suppose that scares some people off, in addition to the fact that it features a minor - but fascinating! - character.

(I hope you don't mind me analyzing it like that... )

All I can say is that those who are scared off are making a big mistake.

So now Liam and Regulus are on opposite sides. Oh my... It won't be long before someone approaches Liam about joining the Order, now, will it?

Scary, as I said.

I'm wondering how your Snape will turn out to be. Evil, good, or fighting for himself. I suppose the latter. Don't they all?

Looking forward to the next chapter!

Evelyn, thank you for this thoughtful review! And yes, you are totally allowed to analyze it like that

Yes, it is scary, but life is scary. And sometimes people have a way of surprising you - though you may not see that for a while here. But don't worry. Even if it's bittersweet, it's still sweet.

Well, maybe you can worry a little. Can't give away all of my secrets, now can I? Stay posted!
