The Diggory Papers
A bit strange, though interesting. Shouldn't this be AU? So this Cedric was a student at Beauxbaton?

Meh? No, Cedric was still at Hogwarts and nothing's changed from canon except that nobody really knew Cedric. I think it'll get clearer as you go on. Thanks for reviewing.

That is so, so funny and clever! Gosh, you have created something really hilarious. Every little detail just makes me laugh and shake my head in wonder at your imagination. I love all of it, but my extra favourite bits are Lovegood & Boot! Wondering what happened to his share of the winnings! The editorial comments re Fleur and Trelawney! And an unlock-proof lock on a disintegrating box! I eagerly look forward to more of this inventive story.

His mother, thinking he was dead, gave his share of the 1000 galleons to Harry, who then gave the lot to Cedric's least-favourite people, the Weasley twins. He does not know this. The editor gets considerably snippier, as Cedric has an annoying habit of insulting people she likes, but she's nearly as ill-informed as he is. Lovegood (and Boot) had a plot to them when I started writing this as a stress-reliever from another fic, but I've now forgotten what it was. Answers on a postcard.

More is on the way soon; glad you like it and thanks for the lovely review.

The Diggory Papers
This a great plot, you had me laughing throughout the chapter! It's really a different Cedric than I ever imagined, but as we now little about him from canon, also believable. You made me snigger, giggle, laugh out loudly, rereading various lines... - nothing's left to say but:

This is great! Please update soon!

Heh! Looking forward to more of this, but there had better not be any gratuitous slandering of Our Girl ...

Which one? I haven't slandered Ginny at all (yet), but Hermione is suffering from a bit of a bad press. The Editor, however, is doing her level best to redress the balance.

The Diggory Papers
Oh, my goodness. I'm laughing too hard to type anything right now, so... Phew. Okay...

I was definitely intrigued when I read the summary of this story. I don't know what exactly I expected, maybe a decent account of the Triwizard Tournament from a different perspective and some stories about Cho Chang.

So my jaw dropped when I read the words "he fled". And then, even better, "Pagp Pago" (!?!). So now I don't have a decent re-telling of an old story but a mad, funny and wonderfully far-fetched new story.

Truly hilarious.

Wise old Cedric's way of telling his story is great. I love the fact that you turn around everything we about Cedric from the books. Somehow, sneaky and womanizing Cedric who weasels his way through Hogwarts is kind of cute...

Ooh, and one last thing. I loved the reference about the name of Potter (there's hundreds running around now) . Hopefully, many of them have red hair.

Can't wait for the next chapter.

Wow, thanks. Glad it made you laugh. Like the title, Pago Pago is a nod to the great George MacDonald Fraser, whose Flashman Papers inspired this fic. Yes, the Potters running around Britain have the world's second-worst hair, red and spiky. Some of the Weasleys are one worse - red and bushy. A particularly disastrous example kept up her mother's family tradition of Shakespearian names. Next chapter is in beta and will be along soon. Thanks again, Machiavelli.
