Hmmm... I don't think Ginny gives Harry enough credit. Maybe he had planned to propose at home, too? And then she gets all upset for nothing and runs off, more or less - and stumbles into her brother's proposal to Hermione.

This is an amazing chapter! I love how you write Ginny. You've characterized her very well and it sunds as if she's speaking to me yourself. I'm amazed how well you slip into the minds of nearly everyone in the Potterverse.
The last sentences really cracked me up. I read this for breakfast and was just drinking my tea and... well, I couldn't hold back my laughter.
So, I thought, as I pulled my coat around me. I'd spent good money on a beautiful new dress to be asked to go to Canada.
This is sooo Ginny. Poor Harry, I bet he wanted to ask her somehow didn't get it out. He's the Boy Who Lived but he can be horribly shy in a relationship
