Prelude to the Hunt
I really like this chapter. Harry's talk with Tonks was funny. I really like her antics with Harry. She embarrassed him very well. It is good that she has the personallity to get away with things like that. I like the way he talked to the Durseleys. I just hope they get the big picture and don't over react. I'm glad Harry wrote to Hermione. She needed to be included in his letter writing for the day. I hope Hedwig brings Harry an answer from Ginny. I look forward to the next chapter. Thanks for writing. p

Thanks for the positive words.

I have two more chapters lined up at this point. Unfortunately many issues outside my control are preventing the new chapters from being uploaded. I'll get them up as soon as I can.

Thanks.

Glad you are enjoying the story. Right now it is Thursday and I have somehow already put in 65 hours at work. As you can imagine that didn't leave much time for writing this week. No worries, the story will continue and I'll try not to have you wait to long.

Prelude to the Hunt
Tonks is my favourite part of this chapter as well. Teasing!Tonks (as Crys mentioned) is such fun to imagine/read.

I also liked Harry's controlled boil at the Dursleys. Yes, our sense of 'justice' does tend to wish he'd hexed them all. But your instincts were right, he wouldn't. Awful as they were, they are neither a danger to all wizarding kind nor a threat to his life. He shouldn't give them a moment more of his mental or physical energy (as far as I'm concerned). They're not worth it and vengeance won't change who they are inherently, sad to say.

Good job.

I was worried about overdoing the confrontation with the Dursleys. It was weird trying to find the balance between doing too much and not doing enough. As has been noted, it is difficult to yet sixteen years side by.

Thanks for all your help.

Prelude to the Hunt
That was a good dressing down Harry gave to the Dursley's. I just wish he could have done more. It doesn't seem fitting that they get off so easy after 16 years of abuse. That's our Harry though and I'm glad he kept the bigger picture in mind.

I loved the comments to Ron and Hermione about flying. Nice touch! I'm interested to read Harry and Ginny's talk. I'm also glad that he realized he should have done it in the first place. Silly boy! Oh, your Tonks is simply delicious.

Glad that you enjoyed the chapter. You might have to wait a little for the H/G talk but at least Harry is starting to reach into the proverbial bag of clues.

Prelude to the Hunt
Ah, I see Teasing!Tonks is alive and well One nit: If Petunia is there, she would definitely make some comment about "that freak" in Harry's room.

> I suggest you make the lessons very hands on.
*laughing/coughing fit* We'll see how Ron reacts to that suggestion . . .

Okay, apologizing to Ron is a good thing. But Harry surely isn't the only one at fault, there. We'll see how Ron reacts.

*frown* That "dressing down" scene feels incomplete. No, I'm not suggesting he turn them into pigs, but at least giving them a list of new rules or something.

Thanks Crys.

I had a little fun with Tonks. Maybe too much fun.

Good point about Petunia. His rules to the Dursley's were simple and straight forward because those are rules that Harry would understand, if not adhere to. Are they too ambiguous for Vernon? We shall see.

Nice chapter, good humour from Tonks. It's just that your Harry seems to use a too formal language. Sounds a little unnatural.

Ahh...I have been caught.

I am overly formal when I write and it is something that I am trying to weed out now that I am trying my hand at fiction. Believe it or not I have come a long way.

Sorry that it distracted you from the chapter.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Prelude to the Hunt
Very good. And I loved that Harry put the Dursleys strait. Can't wait 'til the Weasley parents come and so on. Very good once again.
