Ginny's Last Year of Home Schooling
At least none of them are beeping.

My favorite line -- well, among others but I chuckled at that one no end.

Ginny is "rock stared" (as JKR put it) with Harry right now. You capture that part of her very well -- it's a wonder she doesn't have posters up on her walls.

More, more -- when is it coming??

Oh dear h,

You are so kind. I am enjoying writing the letters from the various Weasleys (and a few other characters). They reflect was happens in the books from a slightly different point of view.

Ginny still has her 'Dance with Harry Potter Doll' but no one has yet thought about posters. Just think of how much money Colin Creevy would have been able to make.

This story ends with the final feast at the Burrow on August 31. I'm now working on Ginny's first year at Hogwarts but it is much harder to write because it is such an awful year for her. And there is not much her parents can do to support her.

PS. I love your older and somewhat wiser Harry and Ginny.

Very nice and sweet. It is cool to see a younger Ginny. One who is innocent and hasn't yet met the hardship of her first year. Her very bold and brazen feelings about Harry are amusing also.

Good job, can't wait for the next chapter!

Thanks for your perceptive review. My mother would have said that Ginny is 'in love with love'. She doesn't really know much about Harry. He is still 'Harry Potter, the Boy who Lived'.

She has a hard year coming up, so she needs to enjoy being an 'only child' for a year.

Arthur looked at Molly and raised an eyebrow. ‘Let me understand what you are proposing. You’d give up a trip to Romania to stay with your bothers at Christmas?’

Ginny nodded. ‘And Harry Potter.’ She blushed.

Molly said, ‘I think not!’ in a firm voice.

Ooohh... Your Molly certainly put her foot down quickly on THAT! Not that daughters and mothers ever have a difference of opinion of course.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. Ginny, at just a bit over ten years old, doesn't see anything wrong with suggesting that she spend Christmas with her brothers and her much admired hero. Obviously, Arthur and Molly do.

I'm writing Ginny as rather more obedient to her parents at this age than she becomes later. She's always had her brothers to react to so this last year at home is her first chance to be the center of attention. I think she enjoys it for a while.

This is a nice chapter. I'm glad Ginny got to talk to her brother a little. Chalie is very perceptive! Ginny does have more than one reason to look forward to going to Hogwarts.
Thanks for writing. p

Thanks for reading and reviewing. I am trying to fill in the missing moments from JK Rowling's books. We don't know much about Charlie but he must be quite nice because he's a Weasley.

I'm working on Ginny's First Year now, and she does have a harder time than she imagined she'd have.

You are the first to review this chapter. I just got the word from my Beta that she had uploaded it and my Mac binged at me to indicate your review. Thank you!

I'm not the only one who would like to know more about the mysterious Charlie. He is fun to write with his mixture of macho and sensitivity. And Ginny obviously adores her two older brothers. Egypt and Bill in the summer after her first year.
