Thanks so much. Your reviews came on a day when I am just so very fed up. The next chapter doesn't want to work for me at all. Thanks for the encouragement. Now I don't want to give up any more. I wouldn't, but there are some days.

Oh yes Draco!!!!
The nice thing about him is that he can play so many roles in a story. He can be the poor misunderstood son-of-a-death-eater turned good or he can be the bad guy with very little effort, he can be anything you want him to be. In my case he's the poor misunderstood and tragic hero who has been very mislead by my real bad guy. I love Draco for that purpose.
I hope you'll keep reading. The next chapter is coming very slowly as no one wants to do what I want them to do. And can I just tell you again how much I enjoyed your story. It's wonderful to see them fighting back.

great update, I am a bit confused about the time line though, because hermione seems to be cursebreaking for only a few months and when she gets Ron's letters and comes back, suppoesedly after 3 months, lavender and ron have been dating for two years? anyway love your story I hope you update soon!

I'm sorry. I had the time line in there and I'm not sure why I took it out. So here it is. They have the altercation at Malfoy Manor. Hermione spends about two months waiting around before she decides to act.
She looks around London and other various places not too far away for about four months before she gets the offer to curse break. She's out there for about six months and some of those places get pretty remote and so unfortunately she doesn't get the letter that Ron is awake until he's been that way for three months.
She comes back and both have some serious misunderstandings that get explained in more detail in a couple of chapters and Hermione leaves.
She goes to China for a year where she's not allowed mail and when she gets back she gets her stack of letters. She runs off to see Ron and finds him in the company of Lavender Brown. She's devastated (which is totally not Hermione but it gets explained later too) but she just wants Ron to be happy and he appears to be so she leaves and is a Curse Breaker for two years before she makes her discovery and gets offered a job at Hogwarts.
I hope that helps with the time line. Thank you so much for sticking with my story and I hope it gets better and better as we go on. Thank you for reviewing, it means so much! |

Ok, this is my favourite chapter so far! Wow, this really all came together for me - I really loved that scene that you imagined from DH of Hermione taking the Horcrux from Ron and phew! thanks for not letting Ron propose to Lavender! I knew that they could never be together, as you said, this is PhoenixSong after all, but I hate the thought of the romantic carnage that they could leave behind them and i have grown kind of fond of this new and improved Lavender!
I'm looking forward to Harry showing up at Ron's. I'm also intrigued by this nasty piece of work floating around Draco - really interesting stuff! Anyway, this story gets better as it develops, nice work! |

This is my favorite so far as well. This is the first thing I've written in years and it's definitely the longest thing I've ever written. I'm hoping that as time goes on and I get more experience I'll get better and better. I'll tell you a secret though. My favorite chapter all around is chapter six.

WOW!!!! I guess that ron and lavander will end up breaking up eventually.... as soon as lavander finds out that hermonie is back, she's gonna know that that is why ron didnt pop the question...
I guess I could see why hermonie didnt check for curses, she was too distracted :p
That shadow sounds evil! I wonder who it was... and I have afeeling that he is just messing with dracos mind...

I liked your transition from the scene where Ron is going to propose to Lavender and then remembers when Hermione took care of him so tenderly.
You have really included a great many details in this chapter. I can't wait to see what happens next.
