Such a rollercoaster of a chapter. Excellent projection of emotions, thoughts and feelings. Very good description of scenarios. Good use of flashbacks. |

Once agian a great cliffhanger!!
Got to say this was without a doubt one of the BEST chapters I've read on this site. I loved how you too time to look at Hermione and how hard it must have been for her. I especially liked the paragraphs of her remembering her childhood, a nice touch.

Your Hermione is delightful and true to canon. Grandma Jean gives me the impression that she knows more than she is revealing. |

Very interesting indeed. I'm fascinated and I can't wait for more.
I loved the way you portrayed Hermione's teasing. i think it's something we can all relate to. I don't think I know anyone who wasn't teased about something in their early school years. I'm just glad that Hermione was born a witch and she was able to overcome her early-life hardships by going away to Hogwarts. Of course being Harry and Ron's friend didn't hurt either.

| Thank you so much for your review! I'm glad you liked the way I portrayed the teasing. I've always felt that Hermione was probably teased as a child - not only because of the magic, but because her brains also made her different - and I really wanted to show that. |

Unlike most in the post-DH 'subgroup,' you have both a subtle understanding of the characters and their emotions and an overall story in which to bring the characters along.
