Aw such a lovely fic! As ever, I love how you portray Harry and Ginny and their romance. I love the reference to Ginny and Luna going clubbing together and I'm liking Lady DuSult's Little Black Robes. Written really well as you always do and generally a great fic! Loved it! |

I really enjoyed writing this fic - the problems were small and a good day shopping is rare and wonderful! Thanks fo reading! |

This is a really sweet "interlude" for Harry and Ginny. What a great image to have of a special moment in their lives. Thanks for writing. p |

The challenge was to keep it an interlude and stay within the word limit! Thanks for reading. It's good to see you again. |

I just re-read this after a horrible few months of stress and sadness and let me tell you, it really hit the spot. Loved it. So perfect. I just wish I could get Gabriella Du Sult to dress me! |

I loved this. I loved the metaphor of using dancing (and stepping on toes) to foreshadow what they will be doing later. I want Madame duSult to do my wardrobe . . . sigh. After reading so much really bad H and G, it was lovely to read them done right again. |

If only we could find our way to Diagon Alley - we'd look fabulous! I'm glad you liked the story. It's great to see you again! |

I can just imagine Harry's look when Ginny appears before him in that little black robe! You've done a remarkable job of showing Harry's eagerness coupled with his natural reserve and how he certainly wants to do right by Ginny. I'm glad Ginny was bold enough to try bewitching him with her "come hither" dress. |

Poor Harry - gah - would probably sum it up, poor dear. Yes, Ginny was right to nudge him a long just a little. Thanks for reading! |

Charming as always (and for what it's worth, I am too am a big Roger and Lisa fan).

I've actually thought a lot of magical dance clubs - in Lee Jordan Tour Guide, Lee and Fred and George spend time in them.
Hmm...I should find the time to read that one again. I confess I didn't like it quite as much as I did Roger and Lisa, so perhaps I didn't read it as closely as I should have. (Though thanks to "Keep Faith," I personally consider the Lee Jordan-Holly Kirke ship to be canon.) But honestly, it's not surprising that DuSult and dance clubs and Days of Destiny and teen parties and amateu Quidditch leagues and all that have played such fun roles in your fics...you've obviously got a swinging, young-adult, young-married, magical London in mind, one that--if I was 20 years younger and had a wand--I wish I could visit. Everything from your mind is worth reading, I figure, but I hope you never leave off sketching out this particular milieu for long. |
Sunday 3rd August 2008 11:43 | Come Hither (Author Response) |
No need to re-read Lee Jordan. Roger and Lisa is a much better story - tighter and more thematically clear. I loved writing Lee's story, but it was a post as you go effort, so it could use a red pen in many places. I wrote Roger and Lisa in its entirety before I began to post, so I had a lot more time to polish it.
LOL - swinging magical London - that's the section they should have next to the Hogwarts theme park in Florida! |

Please allow a married, professional, almost-40-year-old man to squeal: OMIGOSHTHATWASSOCUTEANDBEAUTIFULANDAWESOME!! Seriously, St. Margarets, you have a fabulous world here that you're painting, stroke by stroke, story by story, for all our favorite characters. This is a gorgeous and sexy "first time" story, but one that also emerges organically, with perfect taste and a great sense of the canon, from who Ginny and Harry are at this point in their lives. And all the little details sustain it: Madam DuSult (I love her)! The "little black dress" (that's a trope I haven't seen used in quite a while)! In fact, speaking of such...you know, I think this is the fist story I've ever read that actually shows some real thought being put into exactly what wizarding robes for young adults looking to go dancing (and maybe do some more later?) would actually look like. I mean, they're mentioned casually all the time, but I've never been able to visualize before. Anyway, great job! |

I love the sound of boys giggling and men sqeeing - both make me happy. I've actually thought a lot of magical dance clubs - in Lee Jordan Tour Guide, Lee and Fred and George spend time in them. That was two books ago in canon when I wrote that fan fic. but I still like the idea of magical London and all it has to offer to young witches and wizards.
Thanks so much for reading and squeeing. I enjoyed writing this - taking H/G back to a different time in their lives. |
