Nice to see you updating your fics, but if you've decided not to update SIYE or this site anymore, could you put some kind of notice up that future chapters will only be found on fanficauthors.net and Pit of Voles?
It is extremely frustrating for people who rely on alerts to wonder why a fic has apparently been abandoned, only to find the author decided to stop updating a specific site and start posting elsewhere with no notice on the original site.
THIS time _I_ am fortunate enough to know of the other places it is being posted, but quite often on Pit of Voles, I'm unaware of any other places to keep up with what the author is doing and don't have time to subscribe to every forum, so when they stop updating on Pit of Voles and only post chapters to their Livejournal account, which is not mentioned in any way shape or form on Pit of Voles, it can be quite frustrating. How was I supposed to know if I only got a link to the story on that site?

| Easily one of the best Fanfics that I have ever read. Its lacks the ick factor present in many fanfics though perhaps its gets a little too emo (Harry). Still, I wish that this story will be finished someday though I am quite sure that it gets brutally hard as time goes on. |

Wow. I just finished reading the last chapter, and I must say, this story is very well thought out and written very well. I'm glad I read phoenixsong now, just for this story.
I'll admit Rowling created a whole new universe to explore, but it's people like you who make it worth exploring. I've added you to my EMail Updates list. Actually, you're the only one.

thank you so much for taking your time to write this story. Iv'e just sat through 2 day stint to finsh this and have been so impressed with your writting and story telling and the plot was truely amazing. this has been my most favourite read i can remember. But my only complaint is that im so gutted when i came to the end and realised it isnt finished and it looks like it never will be and il never know what happens in the end

| I think that I enjoyed this chapter the most. It is because of the encounter with Scrimgeour and the way that Harry handled. The aliances that Harry has made so far seemed more tactical than strategic. Here you have perhaps the most beneficial move so far in the chess game; one which could more than compensate for being at odds with Dumbledore. To me this opens up new opportunities whereas every move made before has seemed to be more like fixing a leaky boat. I'm on the edge of my seat now. |

You must be aware from the reviews that "...Nightmare..." is considered one of the best.
I hope you will eke out the necessary time to complete the novel. If I thought I could motivate you by arguing that you "owe" it to your readers - well, I'd certainly try! But I am terribly aware of the constraints of ordinarily life. During the years I have been, as we say, "on trial", I have often felt the demands of the Court and my clients are as threatening as The Dark Lord himself. So, whether it is a real threat or a fictional phantasmagoria, we all need to have Harry and his great Griffindorians succeed and not only survive, but save us all from the unforgivables. I'm on my knees here! Pleeeese? More?
Oh, and may I also suggest you also consider creating a story you can publish? Think how great that would feel!
Whatever your future with HJP fanfics, I wish you the best of luck and happiest of writing hours.

I love this story. It is just fantastic. I look forward to the next chapter so much. (Hint, hint) I understand what it's like to be under pressure though. I bet we all feel a bit pushy to you, but take it as a compliment, we love the story, and we want more! I especially found the end to be interesting. (I'm Irish!) Try to avoid the usual stereotyping of us please!

Wonderfully detailed and complex story, and a refreshing take on the re-do genre.
It's been such a long time since the last chapter, i'd forgotton how brilliant the story is.
I'm assuming that the Peter you referred was Peter Pettigrew It sounds like wizard work when the muggles were so easily convinced. It will be very interesting to see how everybody reacts to the muggle invasion.
So do you know how many chapters there are going to be? T would just be nice to have an idea of when the story is gong to reach its climax.
Anyway great story, good luck with it, and hopefully it won't be too long.before the next installment. |

Beyond that, you're well written and of course well betaed - but the year gap was killing me!
