Well I see you had no trouble in making sure Dumbledore died on schedule. I'm sure Scott isn't dead, not entirely dead anyway, he'll be back. Like his death in the collapsing building.
Everyone else is okay it looks like. Did we manage to save bill the attack by
Greyback, Someone should kill that thing. Ah well NEXT

Interesting how you took that story at face value - I think a lot of other readers figured Scott was an unreliable narrator (and who's to say he isn't).

This will be my 1st review and I am sorry for not commenting on the other 20 or so chapters. I like the story, in fact I love it. As an American, I have laughed over the comments by Scott. Brits aren't used to a lot of our comments , and I tried to imagine the reactions of Harry and the gang. I would like to say that you have written a brilliant story, I love the way you portray the characters, and you done a darn fine job. Thank you for writing the story and for writing it so well. I look forward to the next chapter. Again, thank you for an outstanding story.

Hey, one is more than most people leave.

I like the story, in fact I love it. As an American, I have laughed over the comments by Scott. Brits aren't used to a lot of our comments , and I tried to imagine the reactions of Harry and the gang.

I'm not sure it's 'Brits' in general so much as the ones at Hogwarts. While there are some disparities in slang, I don't think most of Scott's comments would shock an average Muggle male much.

I would like to say that you have written a brilliant story, I love the way you portray the characters, and you done a darn fine job. Thank you for writing the story and for writing it so well. I look forward to the next chapter. Again, thank you for an outstanding story.

Well thank you for such an outstanding review.

Wow. That was incredibly intense. I'd say more, but I really want to keep reading... so you'll have to wait until I'm done the next chapter. ^_^

I can wait... I think.

Drako got away with everything in cannon-- looks like he will in your story as well.Neither Snape or Drako have any redeeming qualities in my opinion - I hate them both. Why did you let Dumbledore commit suicide when he wasn't weakened by the poison as in the book?
Snpe is a cold blooded death eater-- he wanted James and Harry dead so he could have Lilly. Voldermort killed Lilly so Snape turned spy for Dumbledore.
Snape has always hated Harry. You made Scott a eunuch in this story so far.

You are an excellent writer- I shall continue to read this story to see where it goes. Thank you.

I have a great many thoughts on the two of them. I've mostly avoided discussing these in my author's notes, as they may have an impact on how my readers view the plot.

Why did you let Dumbledore commit suicide when he wasn't weakened by the poison as in the book?

That question has a ready answer, but it's not a revelation from me. If you'll recall certain plot reveals from book seven, the answer is there.

You made Scott a eunuch in this story so far.

Ouch. I know you don't mean that in the literal sense. Or at least, I hope you don't. Scott would have a few words with you, in either case.

You are an excellent writer- I shall continue to read this story to see where it goes. Thank you.

And thank you.

I love your story (and you for writing it). This is the best fan fic I have ever read. I look forward to more updates and witty author notes (because those are fun too).

Not to be completely scary stalkerish, I wish we could hang out. You would be the friend I would love to have over because you would have me laughing all the time, even though I wouldn't know what you're talking about. Really.

I hope you're not too tortured (or freaked out by my review) and that you update soon. You are an artist. And a good one.

You love me? Platonically, I assume. That's how it always seems to work.

This is the best fan fic I have ever read.

You need to read more fan fics (or dare I suggest, real fics?).

I look forward to more updates and witty author notes (because those are fun too).

And fun to write... usually.

Not to be completely scary stalkerish, I wish we could hang out. You would be the friend I would love to have over because you would have me laughing all the time, even though I wouldn't know what you're talking about. Really.

Even though you wouldn't know what I'm talking about? A joke is less than successful if it completely misses its audience. As for hanging out, I'd be down with that. Crashing on various couches is a favorite past time of mine.

I hope you're not too tortured (or freaked out by my review) and that you update soon. You are an artist. And a good one.

But am I as good an artist as you are a reviewer? I think not.

You left me completely speechless here.
What an amazing chapter.

harry......what a guy.

I had a hell of a time writing it. Too many things happening with too many characters. Trying to give a sense of where each person was without overloading on the detail, giving minor participants lines just so you don't forget they're there... A logistical nightmare.

harry......what a guy.

What a guy, indeed.

A very gripping, action-packed chapter. Harry's pursuit of Snape is one of the best scenes in this story. I'll have to read JKR's version again to decide if I actually like yours better.
However, I missed all the jokes and stuff. Did you really think we'd ever grow tired of Scott's humour!!?? (totally unfair criticism designed to healthfully balance my praise).

They're so similar, it might be hard to say. I try very hard not to take anything directly from the books, paraphrased or otherwise, but sometimes it can't be helped.

Any number of readers have grown tired of Scott's humor. However, most of them don't review, and therefore I must please the audience I have. Not every moment is right for laughter. This story isn't always funny.

What a chapter. I doubt Scott is really dead. I hope Harry and Ginny talk about Ginny feeling left out and their relationship doesn't suffer for it. Did Lila kill any important Death Eaters? What will happen now? I hope you update soon.

The next chapter will answer those questions. I think. Maybe not.

I hope you update soon.

Yeah, me too.

Oh and you are a good artist. forgot to add that in...your writing is very good, and your characters believable, and thats mainly why you should stop being a tortured artist and start having pride in your work!
Sunday 26th September 2010 07:06That Terrifying Momentum (Author Response)
But if I wasn't a tortured artist, would my writing be the same?

I guess it would be better. That's my assumption.

You're a cynic. and yes, that's slightly a compliment.

XD

very good chapter, though you're still mean. Just are, cause I said so.

Cant think up a really thoughtful review right now, but i figured I'd say hey, I read it, it was good, all that jazzy stuff. I'm really tired though, so I think I shall leave you....maybe

Oh, I liked how Harry just went all grrr baddass me smash on Snape. It was good. And Snape must have been all, wtf. It was good, and if I werent drained of energy I probably would have shouted out and woken the neighborhood. Yay no whimpy Harry!

Ginny needs to trust more, but I get why she doesnt

Now, we readers would enjoy it if you stopped being a tortured artist and wrote more, but I know what the torturous bit is about...I'm an artist from all angles, so I can understand it.

So I wont harp on you too much.

That's as good a reason as any I've heard.

And all that jazzy stuff, like... jazz hands.

Perhaps my story is best experienced in a deep state of exhaustion. No surprises or frustrations.

Now, we readers would enjoy it if you stopped being a tortured artist and wrote more, but I know what the torturous bit is about...I'm an artist from all angles, so I can understand it.

Even the obtuse angles?

So I wont harp on you too much.

I appreciate that. I'm not really into the harp, I think it's a bit bland as an instrument.

Great chapter...intense all the way through....especially the Harry/Snape battle.

Having said that, I do have to add that your Author's Notes are the best I've ever read. Freed from the need to stay within the priorities of the story, you give us a whole other treat. I look forward to them...and I can understand when you might feel like not including one.

Thanks for being the artist that you are.

Intense is my middle name, in some undiscovered alternate universe.

So what you're saying is, I'm sort of an okay fictionist, but I really shine when it comes to writing self-loathing, pseudo-witty blurbs. In other words, I have a future in blogging.

Thanks for being the artist that you are.

But thank you even more for being a reviewer.
