I'm trying to find a H/G story that I've read, but can no longer seem to find. I can't remember the title, though it's possible it had the word "ice" in it (though I am by no means certain.) I'm pretty sure I read it over on Checkmated, though I've read so much fanfiction on various sites it might be somewhere else.

Anyway, at the beginning Harry breaks up with Ginny by lying to her and telling her that he has been sleeping with someone else. He hopes that by making her hate him, she will want to stay far away from him and therefore won't get involved in the war. Harry joins the Order, which is led by Remus, or Remus at least plays a prominent role in it. I think the Order is headquartered in a house somewhere.

Ginny ends up with some other guy for a while and (of course) does not stay away from the war, but joins the Order anyway. Eventually Harry tells her the truth that there was no one else and he was just trying to keep her safe. Remus is killed at one point during the story. There is also a scene where Ginny goes on a raid or something and gets her foot stuck in a tree root and Harry comes to rescue her.

At the end they defeat Voldemort using some sort of triangle spell, I think, and Ginny's romantic love for Harry is a key part of this.

If anyone can help me find this, it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm actually looking for a good ginny 6th year fic that has he sticking to cannon and not just going off in a realationship with someone else, (there are so many bad ones on fanfic.net).

I'm trying to find a post-Hogwarts H/G fic that was written a few years ago. I don't remember much except that Ginny's patronus was Harry, and she kept trying to hide that fact. I think Ginny was a professional Quidditch player.

Sound familiar to anyone?
