So, it turns out that my cat is diabetic... I guess we have to start giving him insulin shots now. *Shudders*
Boy, I'm glad I'm not diabetic, but I feel sort of sorry for him, having to get a daily shot.

Well it could e much worse and its not that hard to give shots. At least your baby is still with you and hopefully for a long time to come. I remember finding a home for a little sweetee that had been dumped on me only to learn weeks later that Fancy had been put to sleep a week after going to her new home because the STUPID girl didn't want to spend $10 for a bottle of Clavimox antibiotic for a cold.

... Yeah, that'll do it. Sounds like proper grounds for a rampage.

That's hard. How have her shots been coming? How is she tolerating them?

I know in humans, depending on the severity, some can use an insulin pill. If you don't want to do shots maybe they have a feline variety of pill?
I wish we could have done something for our Bast, but Feline Leukemia has no cure or treatment, so at least with your furry child, you can help him.

UPDATE:
My cat is going to die. He's over at the Emergency Vet right now and apparently critical, and could go at any time.
The universe definately has a karma balance, anyway.

I'm so sorry! It's awful when such friends go.

He's not quite dead yet. (Cue Monty Python.)
Apparently, somehow they managed to stabilize him, so they moved him over to another vet to monitor him for the night. He's still holding on.
He's a resilent little horsefeathers, ain't he?
