Just FYI to anyone who is registering for Perch...

We have an unbelievable number of spam-bots who attempt to register for the forums on a regular basis, which is why we have an actual human (namely, ME! ) approve/reject the registrations.

If your email address and/or choice of forum name is a bit "original", and your application for membership is denied, feel free to resubmit your info. It's truly nothing "personal" -- it's just that your info appeared too similar to the spam-bots I deal with routinely. If you'll reapply with the same name/email info, I'll generally approve it the next time I see it... I just need to know that it's also another "real human" on the other end of that application, not just a persistent spam-bot!!

Those of you who are actually, you know, REAL PEOPLE who are wanting to join the site, our apologies if your application is deleted/denied. Please just re-submit it and I'm much more likely to recognize it the second time or so that it comes through. Also, as much as possible, please choose usernames that either seem to be related to the Harry Potter universe in some way, or something that is "apparent" that you're a real human
