| PhoenixSong.net is supported by a large team of people dedicated to the goal of ensuring that only the best fanfiction is archived here, and we are unapologetic about this desire. As HP fanfiction enthusiasts ourselves, we know the frustrations of trawling through piles of debris in order to find the occasional gem. When we began PhoenixSong in September 2003, we established clear submission requirements and strict story review procedures to help filter out the dregs before acceptance.
This doesn't mean we're not going to help people improve - and the high quality work of our team of Beta readers lays testament to that - but we are not going to accept anything that doesn't fulfill our base standard, and that includes ship, grammar and canon requirements. We have rejected, and will continue to reject, stories that do not fulfill these requirements. We are passionate about what we do, and believe firmly that holding to these ideals will help us create the best fanfiction archive on the internet.
It's this vision that pushes all of us to put so much effort into entertaining both ourselves (we love fanfiction or we wouldn't be here!), and you, the reader.
Our plan for PhoenixSong.net grows by the day, as we strive to create a permanent, sustainable, welcoming community of authors, artists, and readers.
We couldn't do this without our Admins, Keepers, Moderators, and Betas, people who share our vision for the future of this site, and have dedicated their time and energy into helping us achieve our goals. |
