That proffessor REALLY creeps me out |

You know this has really gone on too long. After the shared dream, Harry would not be this thick about whether Ginny fancies him. Melandray is a bit strange; not sure if she's 'a good guy' or not. Wouldn't put it past Snape to slip in a Deater; but maybe she just has a big crush on Harry.

Wow. Okay. And Ginny is being a little too rude. |

Poor Harry...and I still don't trust 'Melissa' either...I dunno, she gives me a weird feeling...and not just 'cause she's hitting on her student! I may be way off though...i have been before. Oh well. The Spring Ball was painful. Why'd he kiss her...what an idiot. Boys, honestly. |

Well, obviously I couldn't resist reading on. I'm a bit peeved at Ginny, however. In contrast to Parvati, she has not made it very clear what she wants from Harry, but is angry at him for not providing it. On the other hand, Harry should get his priorities straight. He doesn't make the impression of wanting something stable. It seems that some attention and bodily attraction is enough. |

It seems that some attention and bodily attraction is enough. Remember
that Ginny has a lot more baggage than Parvati. Ginny is caught between
her natural instinct to take matters into her own hands, and not
wanting to "pathetically" chasing Harry that she did before. She wants
the unambiguous sign from Harry that she didn't get before (which Harry
has great difficulty giving, and actually never gave to Cho), hence the
miscommunication.
When I was writing the whole thing, this is what came out of my
interpretation of their characters, and that's why. But I promise all
will be resolved soon, after a bit more. :)

Nice .. very nice hooking Harry up with his teacher! Haha...I actually
had to laugh out loud. This is the best Harry by far...but as I
know it will anger some, I don't really want the whole Harry/Ginny
thing to happen...just too predictable, give us Melissa! Again, I
know you wrote this forever ago, but well done!

I agree with the reviewer from the last chapter that said that Hagrid was missing here. He seems to be the one that Harry could go to with all this emotional craziness. Ron/Herm are caught up in each other, Ginny seems to think that she's GOT to play the passive card instead of doing something on her own for a change.
And then there's this teacher hitting on a student thing that I can't wrap my mind around. Neither can Harry, good for him. This keeps on getting better ... |

cool... I am speechless again... I realy like the way you make the
teacher sound as if she's in love with Harry... and the way in which
Ginny is angry... Your chharacters realy do look like canon

I know I've sprinkled reviews all over this fic, but I have to add some more here. I guess I glossed over this bit the first time in my haste to see how Harry patches things up with Ginny, which is a shame, because this is one of the most well-written chapters in your fic. But now that I've had a chance to go over this in a more meditative fashion, I have to say that Melanadray's conversation with Harry in this fic is marvelously done. You do a brilliant job using Melanadray's personal story to open a window into just how important Harry's first defeat of Voldemort was to the wizarding world, and you did it in a way that is touching, almost moving. In canon, I don't think Harry has ever appreciated just how many lives he saved by brining the first war to an end, and you did a really nice job helping him to that understanding. I think, in the end, that the real power of that conversation comes down to the simple, innocent gratitude of an eight-year old girl who is saved not only from her fears, but the fears of her parents (which always makes things so much more terrifying to a child). Aside from the mindblowing H/G, I'd say this conversation between Harry and Melanadray is the best writing in this fic. Well done! |

Sigh..... Poor, clueless Harry!
I must say it's very frustrating that it's taking so long for Harry & Ginny to get together, but I guess it'll be all the more satisfying when it finally does happen! |

Wow.. Harry's getting hit on by an older woman. Practically throwing herself at him. Oi.. where were teachers like that when I was I school!?
But I do have to agree with kensai about Ginny. Granted she's waited a *LONG* time for him and is upset that he's now showing interest, but still..
One more thing.. I should have done this long ago, but.. THANK YOU for the scene with Snape. I dunno about anyone else, but it felt so good with Harry literally beating the snot outta our favorite Potions Master. Not that it'll improve anything between them, but it was extremely satisfying to see Harry exact a bit of revenge on Snape for his behavior.
Okay, I'm rambling now.. back to back to rest the aching back. |

GoD fogive me for what I am about write. I love H/G, but I think Ginny is being very childish about Harry. I do not blame him for looking in other pastures. They are definately greener at the moment. |

Yep. Ginny is frustrated, annoyed that Harry took so long, wants to be there with Harry, and is not being particularly forgiving at that moment. And mixed in with that is anger with herself for getting so emotionally invested when she promised herself that she wouldn't. All that feeds into her character flaws (not to mention being 15). |
