Ohhh, are they going to find out soon??  I'm guessing it probably will be, since they'll have to have quite a bit of time to become animagi.  Okay, so I can't remember precisely how long it takes them, but I seem to remember it being in their fifth year for some reason.

Anway, another fab chapter.  The prank was great!  Peter was a dolt, but it's really not that surprising.  Snape's reaction was ... wow.  He's got such anger inside of him.  I can't see him being that way, and then learning to keep it inside and chanel it into hatred.

Oh, and I do like that James hasn't really noticed Lily too much yet.  He's an eleven year old boy, so it makes sense that he wouldn't pay too much attention to her... he has his home boys.

Thanks for your reviews, they really bring a smile to my day.   Snape is a difficult character, who I find very interesting to write.  He's very angry, yes.  He hates being picked on by James and his friends, and he is furious that he can do so little about it, as he is outnumbered.  In the first chapter he was bullied by James with little justification (there's more on that in chapter six of Sacred to the Memory).  But I don't see him as being a victim.  He wants to get back at them, to really hurt them, and so far his only opportunity is beating up Peter.  It's meant to be degrading, both for Peter and Severus.  In the little 'Snape's history that is sitting in my head,' Severus has had a really lousy childhood.  He's a very angry character, even at that young age.  Lucius Malfoy's words cut deeply, and Severus learns to control himself.  As he does his resentment burns deeper, so he's more ready to hex back whenever the opportunity occurs.

And yes, Lily is a nobody to James.  It just won't stay that way.
