Good job. Always have to love Ginny in "Stop-being-over-protective-you-stupid-prats-who-call-themselves-my-brothers" mode. (heehee) And Moody is one of the all-time greatest characters of the HP universe in my book. |

Well, she's got six older brothers. It stands to reason she'd be tired of it now, but as long as they've got her outnumbered six to one her wrath must be mighty for them to notice it split six ways. |

::Claps:: Wow, this isn't really a review for this chapter but damn. The whole conventional military vs DEs has been in the back of my mind for awhile and you captured it expertly. Hell you even mentioned Force Recon and Barrets.
Have my children? |

Thought I already answered this one... oh well. Sorry, I'm taken. But thanks for reviewing! |

Okay, write more. This was great. Thanks |

I have to congratulate you - I think you're the only person who has reviewed every single chapter of my serial fic. Thank you! |

Loved Ginny's reaction to her brothers' meddling. The "fairy tale" type awakening was great; sweet without being saccharine, mostly because of how you handled it. Mad-Eye's lessons are very funny.
Can't wait to read more! |

The suggestion to put in what Ginny did to her brothers in detail is one of the best that I've gotten. I enjoyed that scene very much. |

So sorry for the late review, but better late than never?
How do you do it? In the first scene you give me some wonderful fluff and by the end of the second you have me first wary and then laughing out loud!
I loved the next scene with Tebo forces! Very sneaky! And so military.
I absolutely have to comment on this line: "Yes, Hermione, we know the sun rises in the east," sighed Harry. Maxime fabulosum!!! I burst out in sharp laughter and I could even see Harry saying it in my head!
And the scene with Charlie... Oh boy! How excellent was that! I laughed until I started coughing and then I had to go back and read it again! Ginny can certainly handle her brothers, can't she?
Finally, I should just like to add that I think your Moody is the one I like the best. He seems very canon. To me, this is awesome, because I feel he is a very hard character to get right. IMHO, you are so spot on, its scary!
So much excellence in one chapter...

Well, glad you liked it. Better late than never, certainly. :-)
I'm glad you like my Moody - he has a supporting role in this story. |

When is the next chapter? I need to know! I love the
training that Moody is giving him, and I want to know if Ginny is
actually going to get an extension on her OWLs.

I'm afraid all I can tell you is "soon." Chapter 3 is now written and headed for beta. |

Where indeed! I loved this chapter Gridley, and I'm glad I made the time today to read it!
You write Ginny so well, in all her relationships. I could almost see Charlie grimacing in my head, which made a very funny picture. And when he picked up the clerk. Fantastic dialogue in that scene, nice and snappy.
I don't like the idea of the minsitry employees keeping things from him, though, that doesn't seem very promising even with the reasoning given.
I loved Harry blushing at the idea of sending himself to Ginny, and his take on "studying".
Looking forward to more!

Ginny seems to be coming a lot easier to me lately - I'm glad you like how she's turning out. :-)
As for the Company keeping secrets... well, how paranoid are you if they're really out to get you? ;-) |

I can't wait for one of Tommy's henchmen-or Snape to sneak up on the new "twitchy" Harry.

Fear not, Harry gets plenty of chances to kick arse. :-) |

"She reached into her desk again and pulled out a quill and parchment, holding it so that he couldn't read the writing. "Would tomorrow at 11:30AM be good for you?"
"That should be fine." All business. Such a shame.
"Good. And then 2:00PM to talk to someone about your dragon problem?"
HAHAHAHA! Okay, so I think everything's funny, but this is just too great.
You can never get enough playful banter, eh? As always, an avid reader...

Back when I was writing Grand Alliance I had a whole additional ship plotted for this fic; David/Cho, in fact. But since David died that didn't happed, and I wanted some non-H/G\R/H shipping going on. |

I can't wait for more (hint, hint!). This should be a great ride...uh, I mean read! Well, anyway, keep up the great work and update often! (ahem! Why are you reading this and not working on the story? Back to your story, go on, get!) ) |

Ah, but reading reviews gives me much-needed motivation when my character's aren't cooperating. Its even been known to result in extra scenes (Ginny's scene with Charlie in this chapter was review-inspired, for example). |
tony Friday 12th November 2004 17:15 | Harry Potter and the Price of Freedom |
Loved it!
Yes, don't mess with Ginny, or else...
AIM-9 Stingers? Did I understand that correctly? Nice touch (Although, I always was more of a Hellfire missile fan myself - but, yeah, dragons can fly, so...)

Saturday 13th November 2004 08:49 | Harry Potter and the Price of Freedom (Author Response) |
Oh, Hellfires would do the trick, but they aren't exactly easily man-portable. I thought about having the Company steal some old Dragon wire-guided ATGM's (both for the amusement and pun possibilities and because I have a family history with that weapon), but realized that while they'd be easier to steal the Stinger was a better weapon for the job. |
Robert Owen Friday 12th November 2004 10:51 | Harry Potter and the Price of Freedom |
As usual a great chapter! I loved Harry's comment
"Yes, Hermione, we know the sun rises in the east," sighed Harry.
Stingers? Your boys play rough!

"When you care enough to steal from the very best." :-) I was inspired by a scene in Tom Clancey's Cardinal of the Kremlin (one of his best books, IMO). |

WOOT! Hooray for Ginny. You go, girl! LOVED to find out what she did to Bill, and Charlie was properly put in his place. I love that girl.
Loved Moody's attitude as well. Stun 'em once and they wont do it again. Giggle. I wuld think they'd know by now not to sneak up on Harry, anyway.
Loved the mental image of Hedwig delivering Harry to Ginny wrapped in string. I think she'd like that delievery. |

It might be a little uncomfortable for Harry, of course... :-) |
