I've decided that the following merits you bonus points: congratulations!
Hermione blushed. Fred had explained to her at length that she shouldn't be honored at getting a badge with 'HG' on it since those were, after all, just her initials. Ron had hexed him.
That aside: Dobby pulling pranks? What's going ON??? Too weird...and entertaining. Can't wait to read the next chappie! |

I'm sure the "HG" bit has occured to someone else, but I came up with it on my own, and haven't seen it elsewhere.
Dobby is hard for me to predict, so I decided to make him hard for anyone to predict. |

Man, your twins are just great. Taking notes, stating the obvious. What a blast. Ginny is just simply evil, Harry's revenge is perfect. Someone really should push Crabbe and Goyle off the train. Dobby pranking a profesor??What a chapter. |

I like a little bit of the lighter side; I like writing drama, but often think I'm best at comedy. |

That is funny! I never thought of that before!!!!
Dobby pulling a prank?

My one original contribution to the world of HP - spotting Hermione's initials. :-) |

Teamwork is indeed a great magic. As is this. I do so love the subtle implication you work in that 'Little Ginny' can scare the pants off her Cursebreaking brother! I loved the prank she pulled on Harry (no mercy that girl!) and how he got her back. Its so good to see Harry showing those quick wits when his life isn't under threat.
I like 'twitchy' Harry. This gives the author a most excellent excuse to hex all sorts of folk first and apologise afterwards... Everyone keeps telling him he's like his dad. |

Ginny isn't just famous in her family for the bat-bogey hex anymore. :-) |

Yeah, I have just finished reading your series, when I should be preparing for my exams, by the way, but we must know how to prioritize, right? This is excellent, and I am very much looking forward to the next chapter. your Harry, always shy to show affection in public, but not so shy as to not kiss Ginny after a long absence, seemes very right to me. ginny is also as I have pictured her. I like you style, and your plot, so please write on! |

I feel your pain - I discovered Naked Quidditch Match right before mid-terms. Writing is continuing, fear not. :-) |

Teamwork is wonderful, but not as wonderful as this story! I loved the trunk bit at the beginning; quite clever! Moody's line
[ Harry lowered his wand. "How do you live like this?" he asked plaintively. Moody's face softened. "You don't, lad. You just don't die." ] was particularily poignant and insightful; as with the rest of this chapter, I genuinely liked it. Can't wait for more!

That pair of lines were inspired by a conversation here at PS.net after OotP came out; we all started dissecting the wording of Trelawney's first prophecy, and someone noted that 'living' can have a variety of meanings. |

Loved all the pranks. The sticky disks were especially hilarious.
Dobby the prankster, eh? I guess, he did show some potential in CoS.
Great chapter! |

Well, I didn't want the story to get too serious, and this seemed like a good time for a humor injection. |

Dobby's a prankster? Interesting. I wonder who put him up to it? Thanks for the fun, and no deaths this chapter.

Well, let's see. He worships Harry, who's been known to pull off a thing or two. He's been heavily exposed to Fred and George on kitchen raids... |

Dobby stealing socks? Harry is rubbing off on everybody apparently-or
is it Ginny? What on earth is Dobby going to do with the socks now that
he has them? Post again soon please.

What does Dobby do with all his socks? Though he'll probably be dissapointed that Dorfomt's were both the same color.
Actually, the sock-stealing was a little bit of homage to Imogen. |

Dobby pulling a prank seems rather random to me. Nonetheless, fun should be had. More combat should be has as well.
If this story keeps up, I think that the Order of the Phoenix will have their own carrier battle group. That would be fun for laying siege to Azkaban. |
Tuesday 23rd November 2004 17:26 | Harry Potter and the Price of Freedom (Author Response) |
Oh, I can just see that - Alpha Strike on Azkaban... Tomahawks blasting trolls...
Dobby pulling a prank is a little random - I actually did have this being a Gred and Forge job until I realized that no longer being Hogwarts students, access to the kitchens would prove rather more difficult than usual. So I had Dobby give his own congratulations to Dorfomt for breaking the Curse of the DADA Prof. |
Kokopelli Tuesday 23rd November 2004 09:56 | Harry Potter and the Price of Freedom |
Lovely beginning - my only criticism is that it was too short. Another 60-70 pages would have made me happy.

Though I'm glad you're enjoying it anyway. :-) |

Dobby's a minor character, but he can be a lot of fun, can't he? |

Absolutely fantastic!
(He made it out the door a fraction of a second ahead of her hex.)
Brilliant! Had me in stiches.

I"m really enjoying this story! But I"m a little concerned about who has aquired the Legacy of the Marauders?(aka Maruaders Map) Hopefully you help me solve that mystery very soon.

Actually, the spy mystery will only be cleared up towards the end of the story. Don't worry, I assure you it will happen. |
