Well the "hat" is certainly morbid this year but its message is the same. Unite or die or suffer the consequences. I noticed the hat zeroed in on the Slytherins. It was telling them to follow Harry or suffer the consequences. Too bad Harry is trying to cover up his feelings for Ginny. She is his greated asset if hi only knew it. Thanks for writing. I look forward to more.

Just want to say, that I love these stories. Though sometimes you seem a little :firedevil: toward Harry. This is my first review, and I would have done it sooner, but I gave up fanfiction for Lent. Thank God for feast days (Sundays). I've had to wait to read this, and it was well worth it.

His greatest liability or greatest asset?  Malfoy is a liar - when is Harry going to wake up?

Loved the talk between Charile and Harry.

Can't wait for more!

Nice twist in the title of the chapter.  I like it.  And you've got some powerful foreshadowing going on.  I'm on pins and needles wanting to see what's coming next. And Charlie.  I love that you've included Charlie.  sigh.

Woo Hoo!  I so love gettng a note that you've updated.  Only now, I'm caught up to what you've posted.  Pout.  I need more!!  LOL.  I love the new ending, just what I wanted to see.

When I read you A/N at the top, my mind blanked on the end of the chapter.  All I could remember was how happy I was that Harry finally cut his hair, lol!  Yippee!

Thanks Melinda!

I'll get you some new stuff--stat! Your feedback is so motivating!

Yes, Harry got his hair cut! I didn't do it just for you, though, I promise. Harry had an allergic reaction to seeing Malfoy looking like him with a ponytail, which reminded him of Lucius. Anyway, we're doing bunches of exposition in these chapters and you know what that means, don't you?

 (Must have action!! Must have action soon! Author . . . dying a slow death . . . must . . . have . . . action . . . )

love,

Ash

Oops, also wanted to compliment you on keeping close to the canon characters. This is one of the few fics I've read recently where I can really see JKR's Harry, Ginny and Co. in the writing.

Thanks, Magelet!

I do try to keep in canon, really! The wonderful characters are what makes this series so incredible, IMHO, as well as the whole backstory. Sort of like the past keeps determining the present.

Not that that has anything to do with my story. Tangents . . . tangents . .

I'm glad you mentioned the Sorting Hat song. Those things are *hard* to write, and I didn't think mine turned out exactly as I wanted it to. Lots of rewrites!!!

Thanks for the review!

Wow. Very powerful chapter. The sorting song was fantastic...and quite chilling, actually! Extremely interested to see where this is leading.

Thanks for the review!

Yes, indeed, hooray for Charlie and Harry discussions! Harry needs an older brother around, doesn't he? I think we'll keep Charlie there, and have Fred and George pop in occassionally. The Weasleys are too good to waste!

Oh, and Tonks and Charlie? Interesting, no?
