Aw, that was so lovely, brought a little tear to my eye...
I love Lily and James and that was just gorgeous, the way you chose for them to end up together. It was so romantic ... until we found out Sirius and Remus had been spying on them ... typical!
Thank you, B

Please Please Please Please Please expand more on this story! You could wrote about how James told lily that he and the marauders are anmagus, how James propses to lily, how lily tells James she is pregnant and he is going to be a daddy, or how dumbledore tells the potter about the prophesy... You could even make the story AU and take out the epilogue in this story and make it so James and lily live! Then you could wrote about there life together and how Ginny and Harry meet... But it's up to you but whatever you decide to write about, if you decide to write another story, that based on your writing ability in this story he other stories will be amazing!!!

I love the family you made of the marauders, their banter and brotherhood really shine in this piece. Lily and James are coy and sweet but then demanding in regards to why they are even together, defining the relationship. I think the 'love yous' statements came too soon, but maybe that's just me. Following up with why they both feel that way did soften it for me tho.
overall, loved it thanks.

This is such a great story!! The relationships between the characters and the way they interact is exactly as I would imagine it to be, I think you captured their personalities perfectly from the images JKR has given us of them. I really did enjoy reading this story.

I've got to say, this is one of my favorite Marauder/James&Lily fics. Ever.

There's not very many really good quality ones out there, but this is definately one of them.

I come back to re-read it every so often, especially when I can't find any new Marauder ones.

Have you ever thought about writing one about Lily and Remus' conversation?...the one where Lily confronts him about being a werewolf and finds out about the prank-gone-wrong.
I've always thought that would make an awesome fic!

I'm so glad you like this story. I'm glad it has held up to repeated reading. Your idea is an excellent one, but my writing muse took a very heavy post Half Blood Prince hit and I'm not sure I'll ever quite recover enough to return to this universe.

Thank you for reviewing, it's always a treat to find a review after such a long time!

I'm so glad that this story became SOTW so that I had the chance to read this charming and funny tale. With, of course, the touch of poignancy that underlies all good James and Lily stories as we are all too well aware of their future.

All of the characters were faithful to canon and your OC were interesting and well fleshed out even those who made very brief appearences. Lily as Autumn was a visually beautiful thought and the whole story could easily be pictured by the mind's eye.

The epilogue was a wonderful way to bring Harry and the present day into the picture (what a wonderful gift from, and way to ease his grief over, Sirius) and makes me wish that Jo had done something like this in HBP. I'll decide it's a missing scene.

I see that this was written some time ago and that the sequal, if written, is not on PS. Is there one? If not, I fervently hope you'll do one soon, not only how Lily found out about Prongs but maybe some Harry/Ginny-ness too? Pretty please?

Long Live The Quartet!

You were told this was sweet... so I'll tell you again. It was lovely. I laughed with Lily's comeback to Sirius in last chapter and was a breath away from crying in this one. It was really beautiful, all of it, and the best of all is that it's not like, how would I say this... like one of those romance novels that put a lot of drama and grief to finally get to ethernal love - you have mixed fluff and love with a big douse of sense of humour (and great sense of humour at that). I just loved this.

Thanks for the wonderful read! -Sonia

Wonderful story. Very well written. I liked your interpretation of the Marauders characters and their friendship and interaction. At that point in his life I think James might really have been maturing and it seems like the perfect time for he and Lilly to start dating. I think my only concern is that their admissions of love seemed a little out of the blue, but it works for this story, so no problem.

I loved the last chapter! This was an absolutely perfect way to close the story and bring it into the present. It's so moving to suddenly realize that we're seeing it (sort of) through Harry's eyes. Very moving. I think he would love a gift like that. So sad and yet so uplifting to see how much his parents loved each other, even before they were married.

Your description of how close the boys are and how they depend on each other is very insightful. You kept them all within the personalities we know from canon but added a very real layer of friendship on top. Even for Peter, whom they certainly counted as a friend at that time. The idea of Lilly and Remus having a sort of special friendship is neat, even made better by her knowing for so long. You wrote her very well, especially the ball scenes.

This was such a good story. I'm so glad it came up as story of the week so that I got to read it. Thank you for sharing it with us!

This was really really really good. Really. Did I already mention that? I especially liked the final chapter...it was sweet the way you tied it in, and it worked well with what we saw in HBP - Harry no longer loathed the thought of being like his father...so either he accepted that James grew up, or had a little help Wonderful, this def. deserved to be a story of the week.

Look who has the story of the week! Go you! Still a lovely story. I just love Lily as Autumn personified and all the friend moments. Having Harry watch it all through a Pensieve is such a lovely way to tie it all together. (And up the angst factor!)

Yeah, "Go Me" as in -- go finish the sequel to this even though it's totally AU.

I'm glad you liked Lily as Autumn -- I spent more time looking up color charts for redheads etc. than I bother with my own clothes much of the time. It's probably the DuSult in me.

A little angst isn't bad -- as long as there's a happy ending.

How sweet!

And how very much, possible in the canon. This does very much sound like something wthey would do for Harry to help him feel connected to his parents. And what a lovely shadow to Harry's relationships to Ginny, or rather the relationship they don't have at the moment.

I have a feeling Remus' nose will have told him all he needed to know there, I wonder what he'll do with his knowledge. Might be nice to have him help things along a little, even if it wouldn't mesh well with his observer role.

I guess I'll need to read the folow-up to find out, huh? Well, I certainly will tomorrow. You can count on it!

Thank you for reading and reviewing this story.  It's so great to get new reviews on a story posted a few months ago.  When I started this one, it was just going to be about James and Lily -- with a little bit of Harry/Ginny in the epilogue.  Once the Epilogue was written, I realized that there was more Remus/Beatrice story to tell.  I'm glad you enjoyed the James/Lily part.

That was great -- Loved seeing your version of how Lily fell for James and how awkward he was.

Are you going to continue this?  I'd like to see what happens between Harry and Ginny!
