O.k. I have got 2 questions.
1) What's an Aga
2) Why'd you have to have Hermione - of all people - get sick? It's always Harry!

“Egyptian flu, dear, lasts nine months,” Mrs Weasley explained, and Harry, Ron and the other Weasley males all blanched, whilst Ginny continued her uncontrolled giggling, “and at the end of it you’re a Mummy!”
You are simply hilarious. I am loving your stories. |

Dateline Ottery St. Catchpole Gazzette, Nov 15, 1998(Magical Edition)
Sources have seen the Wizarding Family Weasley buying plants for gardening at the local shoppe. But where is Hermione Granger-Weasley? Hermione Granger-Weasley, has often been discribed as "The Cleverest Witch of her Year" recently completed her 7th year at Hogwarts. Our through investigators have come up with story. She is suffering from a mysterious stomach illness while the rest of her 'family' spends time out on the town shopping.
Can Harry 'The Boy-Who-Lived' Potter find the causes and cures of this illness of hers before it causes lasting harm? Is this a 'Death Eater Plot'? Our Investigations Staff will bring you further reports as they come in.
Rita Skeeter, Staff Investigator, Ottery St. Catchpole Gazzette (Magical Edition)
(Sorry Allie, I just couldn't resist)
I could see this happening to "Our Harry". He is clueless about many things of both the Wizarding and the Muggle worlds.
While I hope I'm not as clueless as Harry, I have learned a couple of things since I've been talking with the assorted people at The 'Song --A lady who is expecting is suffering from "The Egyptian Flu" and holds a dual membership since she is also a member in good standing of "The Pudding Club".
Ma'am, this is an awesome story, I give it out of
!
I'm officially requesting a sequel, perhaps detailing the birth of Hermione's and Ron's child.
Thank you much for an enjoyable story,
Sam

Nice story! Is the Egyptian Flu a real term or did you make it up? I currently guessing you did. And about the six pregnancies, maybe you remembered before and forgot, but one of them was with twins, so six is correct. |
tante Saturday 7th May 2005 20:03 | Egyptian Flu |
Very cute! I began to wonder if that's what it was when Harry couldn't find it in the book. Good lead up to the suprise. That was a fun read. :) |
emmamoonpotter Saturday 7th May 2005 17:55 | Egyptian Flu |
Ha! Eqyptian flu!
That was great! I figured out what was wrong with Hermione, what
woman wouldn't, and how clueless Harry is as usual! Poor Bill!
Being blamed for her condition. Hilarious! Wonderful!

Hello there just read your fic. That's almost how I reacted, to hearing the news, When Tina was pregnant with Alex. Total confusion. But it all turned out fine in the end. 9 Yrs later and he is still running the house. Nice fic. |

I'm glad to hear I got the male reaction down pretty well! Thanks for your review.
(and aren't the kids *supposed* to run the house? Hmm, who is the boss?) |

Adorable story ... but wouldn't Molly only have had it six times? ... since Fred & George were one pregnancy |

Poor clueless!Harry. You would think that at some point his friends...especially Hermione would take pity on him and not be oblique when the explain things to him assuming he would 'get it.'
Quite humorous and I can see Harry getting nettled and annoyed at each stonewall he encountered to try to help her. |
Saturday 7th May 2005 17:21 | Egyptian Flu (Author Response) |
I think under normal cirtcumstance Hermione probably would have. But I think she thought Ron had already told Harry... and she's wasn't thinking too straight at the time. *grin*
And yes, I think Hermione's 'illness' was Harry's latest crusade. |
MagnoliaMama Saturday 7th May 2005 06:52 | Egyptian Flu |
ROTFL! Egyptian flu indeed. This was hilarious, Allie. I
love the idea of clueless!Harry. I wonder if he'll remember when the
time comes for his own wife to fall ill.

I'm glad you enyoed it! And yes - we can but hope that he's a bit more with it for Ginny, now that he's in the know, so to speak. Although he could be a bit blase, couldn't he, having been through it before with Hermione? (If so, I could see Ginny firing a few bat-bogeys at him) |
ninkenate Saturday 7th May 2005 05:56 | Egyptian Flu |
That was great Allie. Just what I needed to start off my day before the boys get up.
Harry going to everyone but the source, Hermione, to find answers was
so true. Mrs. Weasley favoring him over her own by letting him sleep
him was also. The whole story was wonderful.

This is priceless! I wish this had been out when I was pregnant four years ago...something to chuckle about in the midst of all the wretching and bouts of heartburn. Your Harry's spot-on in his concern for Hermione and I love the references to Snape's temporary cross into feminine territory through his altercation with the students: the Gender Bender Sweets is a cute idea. All in all I really liked this story. Hope to read some more of your new fics in the near future. |
Saturday 7th May 2005 17:41 | Egyptian Flu (Author Response) |
Ah yes, those were the days, weren't they? *shudder* I was on bed-rest with an IV for seven and a half week whilst pregnant wiht The toad. Enough to put me off further endeavours of that line.
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the story! I'm contemplating whether or not to write about the gender bender sweets again... either Snape's story, or perhaps Harry's first encounter. |
