Residual Remains
Just a side note to everyone, because they expect my characters to make wise decisions 100% of the time. The trio are all around the age of 21, and in my opinion shouldn't be expected to be fully mature. I'm turning 21 and I don't make wise decisions all the time, and I probably still won't when I am 21. It's too young of an age, in my opinion, to expect someone to be a wise adult behavior-wise and choice-wise 100% of the time.

I needed to say that, because it was bothering me and I wasn't sure if the readers were aware of that. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Doesn't look like the characters have grown up.  They're behaving quite childishly.

Ginny's sudden break up w/ Harrry without giving him a chance or explaining anything, doesn't really seem consistent with the portrayal of the characters so far ... sorry :(

You're entitled to your own opinion.

Maybe you'll feel better about the next chapter, but then again I'm not aiming to please everyone- just myself right now.

Lots of great things in this chapter.  But by far my favorite part was Hermione telling off Ron.  Go Hermione!  Keep up the good work.  Update soon please!

OOOOOOOOoooo.
The plot thickens.
Only really good friends can be on the outs like this.
I hope the angst doesn't overwhelm the plot. I like it so far. Good work.

And the fact that Hermione still has "it" when chastising Ron, that's great.

The plot gets better, but maybe that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the review, and the positive support. *Oh, and Hermione definitely still has *it* <- hahah she cracks the whip!

Urgh.  What a mess.  I have to say, I'm incredibly disappointed in Ginny.  The Ginny I saw in OotP would never let Ron bully her that way.  She'd be spitting angry and ready to hit him herself.  AND, being that angry with him, I don't think she'd lash out at Harry the way she did.

I hope next chapter she gets her backbone back.  Ron's comment to Harry was so out of line, but I did love Hermione telling him she was going to make his face hurt for Harry.  That was a hoot.

The Ginny in my story's world is slightly different from JK Rowling's world. I changed things about her because I changed aspects of what JK's future plotline is going to be (you know the whole part about how Voldemort is going down and who is going to help sort of thing).

Things get much clearer as the story progresses.

I think Hermione is my favorite character in this story. I was about to say something else, but I'll give too much away....lol

The chapter was great, it wasn't a cliffie, but I really, really want to know what happens next! I can't believe Ron would blackmail Ginny like that, what a jerk. Keep up the great work!

My intention wasn't a cliffie, but to keep you interested. I guess it worked! Yay!

Thanks for the review!

Well, that was unpleasant. I have to say that Ginny must not really love Harry very much if she is willing to give up that easy and not even try to let him explain what happened.

Ron acted sort of predictable and quite frankly Hermione should have done more than tell the jerk off.

I'm going to take a deep breath...I thought I was going to really enjoy this story when it seemed like you weren't going to have the characters make the same stupid mistakes from the past...but now it seems you are...I guess I'll hang on for a few more chapters and see if Ginny comes around and hope that Harry doesn't end up doing something equally stupid.

My only constructive suggestion is be careful that you don't force the characters to fit what you want them to do for the plot instead of letting their actions and decisions shape the plot.

Now..as for what is good. You really seemed to set up a nice contrast with the begining of the chapter vs. the end. The begining seemed to be full of hope for the future...the end seems to be nothing but despair. Very nice manipulation of emotions. You did a good job of portraying Ginny's despair over the situation. You also did a good job of making Hermione's annoyance of Ron shine through. Overall the technical delivery of everything was flawless.

I would like to just point out that history always has a way of repeating itself. Not that that is my philosophy, but people tend to make similar mistakes, if not, the same ones. It's called being human.

Having said that, thanks for the positive remarks. I'm glad you think the technical delivery is flawless, because my beta-reader Arnel works very hard (even when I don't request that of her).

Thanks for the review!
