And in that Sleep
I just realized that I forgot to leave a review.  Better late than never.  I'm still pretty confused in a few areas, just like Harry is I suppose.  But I'm still drawn to this fic.  It intrigues me.  And I don't know about the line borrowed from another author, but I did find one pertaining to a certain sci-fi show that I absolutely love.  It's this one:  "as it is entirely possible that the translation work of the young Egyptologist who assisted with the translations may be at fault. (Dr D Jackson is a Muggle.)"  D Jackson, as in Daniel Jackson, right?  Just wanted you to know I was paying attention! :)  Update soon please!

Thanks Lulabelle! :-D  Out-of-the-blue reviews are just as appreciated, you know!

*grin* Yeah, you got me with Dr Jackson --I'm a great fan of that series too and you'll find that references sneak into my fics -almost behind my back!

The line from another author is spoken by Harry; 'A man can sleep anytime but a laugh restores the soul.' and has been nibbling at me since I first read it over *mumble mumble* years ago. It belongs to Anne McCaffrey.

I hope that all will become clearer with the next chapter, which I am trying to finish up even as I speak. Thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts, tis a lovely boost! Baffy.

Poor Harry.  His fatigue is contagious.  What's the orange thing?  and how will harry wake up?

Thanks Kelley, and apologies for the late reply. The orange thing will be more apparent in the next chapter, and Harry will start sleeping a bit more so that he'll stay awake and start noticing...

Okay, that previous review was me forgetting to log in. Sorry about that. Here it is again, for whatever compulsive reason is making me post it again:

I really like the disjointed flow of this story a great deal. Harry's confusion and inability to concentrate and all that really resonates well -- it's a totally different Harry than what we've ever seen before, but at the same time it's still totally in character. I like it a lot, and can't wait for the next chapter.

"Harry?"

"More."

LOL! Brilliant.  Couldn't have said it better, Harry m'dear.  This chapter wasn't as muddled and sleep themed, but the tale is still unravelling nicely. Well done!

Thanks Delani!  This chapter wasn't as muddled and sleep themed, I know! lol-- Harry really does need to start sleeping or he'll never figure everything out or go crazy or something!  Glad you approve of Harry's fuddled comment.

*squishes Neville*    The way you've written him makes this fan-girl *squee*

I really like what you've added to this since I first read it, Baffy, and can't wait to read more.

I throroughly enjoyed the Quidditch practice.  I found Harry's bafflement about the Slytherin "flashing" endearing, and love Ginny rescuing him from Parvati.

So, is Ginny an Animagus?

Thanks Melindaleo! The Quidditch practice bit sprang into my head fully-formed and I had to scribble as fast as possible so as not to lose it! LOL, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ah, the thousand Galleon question... As our favourite author said... Hmm, you're a bit good, you are."

I love this story!  As an historian, I've really enjoyed your use of Egyptian lore and it seems to work really well with the plot so far.  Also, Harry's really funny when he's sleep-deprived.  I'm amused and impressed.  Looking forward to the next chapter!

Thanks Sunshine! (Heheh --great name there, BTW. I call Number One Daughter just that!)

Oo! An historian... Cool! Thank you for the positive feedback; I've always had a fascination for Ancient Egypt and hope we get to see more of our local Cursebreaker in canon. Sleepy!Harry is fun to write, even though it's a rotten thing to be in RL.
