wonderfull very deep, emotional. i hope i can wright like that some day. I can really see it coming into play. i figer ron will do somthing like that. Harry will get the shove he needs from Ron and Ginny from Herminie although ginny dosn't need a shove maby just a small poke. |
critmo Monday 28th August 2006 07:07 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
Somehow, I managed to overlook this when it was published. So I had the pleasure of enjoying it now. I find it very inspiring, since I am (for the umpteenth time) trying to finish my Mood series. Very well done! |
Astrid Thursday 17th August 2006 19:53 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
Beautiful. The small touches of humor and attention to detail make an otherwise fluffy story a story of substance. Good work. |

I had to wait till I finished the 6th book to read this I can't believe it took me so long, the night before the book came out I started to reread thew 4th book and then the 5th and finally the 6th so I could only read this now. I loved it, it shows that there is a happy light at the end of the dark tunnel.
great job, keep writing, and PLez write back,

Hmm the potatoes and the white and blue dragons in the cake?? :)
since I couldn't sleep, what better way to pass the hours of the early morning (it's 5 plus something a.m., my sinus and rhynitis attack, lol) what better way to spend this time than reading a little jewel? I love it. It's the first post-HBP fic I read after reading the book. I really hope canon equals this.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! More please! Encore, encore! [I can't have enough of H/G fluff, especially post-HBP, now that I have finished HBP.]

My first Post HBP read! Wow, you're quick. I've enjoyed all of your stories...we can only hope that Harry "snaps out of it"!
Anyway, caught the dragon ref on the cake in regards to LOS...would have to re-read to find the other! (LOS one of my fav's) |
Delani Sunday 24th July 2005 15:46 | Nothing, and Everything Good |

great story. I, myself, did not like the fact that left at the end of the story. I'n still tring to figure out what JKR was thinking.

of Harry's need to be with her or Ginny's knack for penetrating his
stubbornness. I do hope for more Ginny in the next
book.

Lady Chi Friday 22nd July 2005 23:41 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
Just a note from an old beta (and hopefully still an old friend) to let you know that you're still doing a fabulous job. I thought this story was a very enjoyable piece of work, and quite likely something we're liable to see in the next book... though we may have to wait two years to get it!
Very nice. |
Saturday 23rd July 2005 07:26 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
Definately still a friend. As much as I hope we see Ginny telling
Harry where to stick his noble attitude, the signs are pointing
elsewhere, I feel. Perhaps Jo will surprise us, however. Ah
well; in 2007, we'll know and be done with a great series.
Here's to fanfiction! Pip, pip!

Rhymes With Orange Friday 22nd July 2005 16:51 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
Yay, post-HBP!
Very nice story, and mad props for getting it written so fast. I'm amazed.
I definately recognized the Snow Dragons on the cake. Very cool. I had to stop and think about the second one, but it's probably the hundred pounds of potato salad.
Lovely little story. |
Saturday 23rd July 2005 07:35 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
Both right. I'm excited to see what other writers have whirling
around their heads for Post-HBP plots. This promises to be a fun
two years! :D
|
AutumnHeart Friday 22nd July 2005 04:08 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
Hey - this is the first new H/G story I've read since HBP. It's even more sweet this side of canon :)
You've a very canon-like 'voice' for mature!Harry - and I love your
Ron. <v. unsubtle hint>I hope you write more post-HBP stuff so I
can get to keep on liking them! </v. unsubtle hint>
I am kind of hoping for some mild Dursely-annoyance of the magical kind
from Harry before he leaves there for good, but perhaps your Harry did
that before this story started?
Keep up the good work,
- AutumnHeart
|
Friday 22nd July 2005 11:32 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
I plan to write more post-HBP stuff. I just don't know what it is yet!
Tweaking the Dursleys magically isn't something I think Harry would stoop to, but he certainly would be tempted!
Thanks for the review.

juliet Friday 22nd July 2005 01:12 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
Ah, the return of the fiery Ginny. It really wasn't the time or
place to have a fight when Harry came out with "I can't be involved
with you anymore". I am sure that she will have had plenty of
time to work out all the arguments in her head by the time of the
wedding. Bridesmaids are always guaranteed of romance at a
wedding apparently!
I really liked your story - congratulations on a job well done.
|

Yeah. It wouldn't have been good to have her raging and screaming at him just after the funeral.
Thanks for the kind review.

lissabee Thursday 21st July 2005 22:44 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
I definitely know the dragons on the cake were from TLOS, and I think the potatoes?
Excellent...wow, did you even take time to digest the book or did you swallow it whole? Great job as always |
Friday 22nd July 2005 11:23 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
Yep, potato salad. I swallowed it whole pretty much and talked a
bunch with tons of smart people in the fandom. It's going to be a
long wait until book seven. GAH!
|
Surplus Imagination Thursday 21st July 2005 21:00 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
I would be nice if Book 7 sent that way! As for the 'Letters of Summer' references, the blue and white dragons were one and perhaps raw meat. Nice story. Thanks! |
Friday 22nd July 2005 11:22 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
Not the meat -- the potato salad. I wished JK would have kept
Ginny more in the spotlight after they got together. Alas, it was
not to be. Book seven is our only hope for more H/G luuurrrvvve!
|
SnowWhite2189 Thursday 21st July 2005 19:41 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
This was wonderful. It gives me the warm fuzzies all over. Please write more, I love your work.
P.S. one of the references to Letters of Summer is the white and blue dragons, and while I'm not sure about the other I think it's the potato peeling session and Harry peeling away half of his potato. |
Friday 22nd July 2005 11:21 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
So close! It's the potato salad and the dragons.
I promise to write more. Thanks for reading.

Melindaleo Thursday 21st July 2005 19:35 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
Sigh. I enjoyed this, and I'm going to continue enjoying scenarios like this in fanfiction since I have a feeling we're not going to get it for real until the end of book 7. My gut keeps telling me it will be the trio through much of it, but I can hope, right? |
Friday 22nd July 2005 11:20 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
I do hope you're wrong, but it certainly seems like it could go that way, doesn't it?
There's some good moments that point to Ginny playing a larger role in
book severn, so we'll have to wait to see what JK says. I can't
WAIT!!

Was wondering when I'd read the first post HBP h/g story. Good one !
After all that happen and canon Ginny being who she is, I don't see her
letting the three of them go off looking for horcruxes while she waits
in the background.
Well written.

Rosebeth Thursday 21st July 2005 17:53 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
As always a wonderful job with Harry and Ginny. I hope that you're right and they find their way back to each sooner rather than later. Ron's encouragement was great, it was quite the change from "If you must".
Since others have already guessed the food items from TLOS, I won't. However I did think the white dragon putting her head under the blue dragon's chin was quite sweet. Nice touch. |
Friday 22nd July 2005 11:16 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
I figure Ron's knows what's good for Harry and likely his sister,
too. If that's true, he'll be pushing them together as much as
possible. I love the H/G goodness! Both Ron and Hermione
are H/G shippers!

Very enjoyable - thanks for sharing. I noticed that the fic was marked "complete", however, it seems a natural springboard into the foray of Horcruxes. Do you plan on writing about year 7? |

I was so utterly disappointed at the end of HBP even though I should have known Harry would play the noble dolt.
Reading this made that ending so much more livable. I love your Ginny, very canonlike with enough character to be strong but enough understanding to be a match for good old noble Harry. Very lovely! |
Friday 22nd July 2005 11:12 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
I'm glad you think so. Ginny's not going to go quietly, as she
didn't in OotP. I just hope Harry's smart enough to let her in.

|
x_Rose_x Thursday 21st July 2005 10:41 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
I know that this is one of them:
"wedding cake, pointing
and commenting on the blue and white dragons on the bottom of each
tier. Every so often, they would spout a miniature flame and the white
dragon would periodically graze the blue dragon with its head under the
latter’s chin."
it's harry anf ginnys dragons from "the letters of summer"
and is the other the potatoe salad didn't mrs weasley make loads of it
for harrys birthday and ginnys ate soem cos ron ate her dinner?
anyway brilliant story I lve the bit when harry walks away from teh dance floor and ginny calls him back.
to be honest when I read HBP I thought they made it sound as if he
wound hunt out the horcruxes and destory voldemort and then he would go
to ginny and they could be together when it was all over- and I thought
that alot of H/G shippers would be disappointed along with harry and
ginny but I think you really pulled it off this way as well and to be
honest I would probably prefer it to go the way you have written it.
anyway I love what you have done it was written beautifully, well done!

Oh, that was so sweet. My first post-HBP fanfic. Really, really good job. I'm actually working on one of these right now myself - it still needs a lot of work, though. Anyway, I really loved this! Especially the role-reversal - how Harry's the one getting flustered around Ginny. If there had been a butter dish around, I'm sure his elbow would have been in it. Sunlit smiles to you! Bella |

Great Fic. I'm convinced that something like this will happen in the

The two food references where the potatoes are being made into potato salad; And the blue and white dragons on the cake.

Got them both.
I hope she keeps them together and there's potential for it to happen,

Now that I've read the review posted by malko050987, I know what the
second food reference to TLOS is. The hundred pounds of potato
salad that Mrs Weasley had made to Harry's birthday, that mysteriously
enough was reduced to 99 and 98 lbs and maybe even further? And
finally I got the dragon names - Mm'lau and Tk'lch (did I spell that
correctly?).
How fun!

amamama Thursday 21st July 2005 07:33 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
Wonderful! Just what I needed now that Prince has begun to sink
in... A wonderful story, quite close to what I'd believe would
happen in canon H/G-wise. I just can't believe Jo would make
Ginny let Harry go that easily. Guess we'll se in two years
time...
Food related reference: The one I spotted immediately was the
white and blue dragons on the wedding cake. I have tried to find
another one, but my mind is not really working. Guess I'll have
to reread TLOS.
Great little fic, I guess you and Kokopelli had a great time plotting it. Keep going!
|
Thursday 21st July 2005 08:10 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
I plotted, Kokopelli helped steer a scene or two.
Got the cake (good job on the names). And from your later review, got the potato salad. Full points! :D

Mr Flibble Thursday 21st July 2005 07:14 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
i must admit that as soon as i'd finished hbp that it was the end in
canon for our heros. but thanks to forums (mainly sugarquill) and
stories like this beauty, i now have a real hope that something like
this will happen
and don't forget that ginny will be dressed in gold. red and gold. gryffindor colours...coincidence? i thibnk not!
once again well done for easing my troubled mind
|
Thursday 21st July 2005 08:08 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
Glad to be of service! I hope that something like this happens,
as JK left far too much of Harry and Ginny's interactions off the
pages. The fanfic writers will just have to step in and find them!
Thanks for the review!

malko050987 Thursday 21st July 2005 07:03 | Nothing, and Everything Good |
Great story. Also the first Post-HBP I've read. You've wasted no time in getting the four of them together, did you?
First, the potatoes. Mrs Weasley makes a hundred pounds of sweet potatoes.
I don't know about the second. It could be the meat, but it has to be cooked. The cake from Mrs Weasley seems a good bet. But long-eaten? Long, as in months ago, or days ago?
Anyway, the potatoes and the cake are my guesses. Hope I got it.
-Crs |
Thursday 21st July 2005 08:07 | Nothing, and Everything Good (Author Response) |
Not sweet potatoes, but that'e really close.
As to the four of them, I have a sneaking suspicion that Ginny won't
make a very good wall flower in the next book, especially seeing as how
she's got what she's been wanting since book one: Harry. ;)
