A Portrait on the Wall
I really like this scene. Harry really needed to talk to Dumbledore even if it was only his portrait. I'm glad that Harry was able to cry. That is so important. I am also glad he took Dumbledore's advice about Ginny. That was a huge mistake to push her away. He needs Ginny far more than he knows. About Snape, in an AU story like this I can see Harry wanting to do him in but Albus was right. Harry shouldn't go after him. But, if Snape should show up Harry should deal with him as best he can. Thanks for writing. I will look at other stories you have written. I appreciate someone who can write so well. p

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the fic. I hope you're going to read "If the Fates Allow" as well, and if you do, I hope you'll like it.

Quite lovely, of course Dumbeldor gave the only sensible advice to give to keep Ginny's love and not push her away.

I enjoyed that.  Thank you.

JKR gave us some of what we wanted in HBP, didn't she?  I was cheering when Harry got together with Ginny.  I don't think it will be so easy to get them back together in the next one, but I liked the way you did it.

I love this one shot. Agi Vega you are a talented writer and artist.

Harry's anguish is believable as well as his anger at Dumbledore. I can totally stand behind Harry's decision to take down Snape. Evil git.

Quite good! I enjoyed this very much, however I have doubt as to the last meeting of snape/dumbledore. It kind of affected how I feel about the story, but I totally understand how you wanted to "vent" about Snape. You did it very well, and it worked! Great job!

Great! Dumbledore told Harry that he shouldn't leave Ginny!

Of course! How else can Harry use the Power of Love?

The thing that I enjoyed most about this is that it could be completely canon.  JKR left off before they even left Hogwarts, so who knows what happened in between? Though I doubt book seven will really cover much in betwen the funeral and the next installment, this is possible. Well, I'm terribly off-topic now, but well done!

If only the actual book had gone on to end like that!

I wonder if Ginny's going to insist on going with Harry, Ron and Hermione too . . . I can't remember whether she was there or not when Harry told Ron and Hermione what he was planning.  And Ginny DID say something along the lines of, "Would it help if I said I didn't care?"

Great fic!  I look forward to more post-HBP fics later on.

very cute, love it! though I have a feeling that unfortunatley Harry in canon wil stick by his decision of pushing Ginny away, though I hope he won't. Also you know when it says all that stuff about harry not being able to question him about Snape but I think he does, Harry thought that dumbledore would be there for him, would help him kill voldemort at find teh horcruxes but he died and it is to common an emotion to be angry when someone dies, goes and leaves you that way, so I think he does have a right to question him. But I understand why he doesn't agree.

anyway, I loved this fic especially the "You can't get rid of me that easily"
"perhaps I don't even want to" bit, it was very cute!

well done I can't wait to read more from you,

Agi, this is marvelous, just as I pictured the conversation between Harry and Dumbledore's portrait should be!  I'm glad Harry was able to grieve privately for Dumbledore in a place where the two shared so much during the year.  I'm glad, too, that Dumbledore counceled Harry to stick by Ginny and let her be part of his life after Harry vented his feelings at the injustice of it all.

Your   rocks!  Go  and !

Ah Agi, I enjoyed this one a lot.  You have almost as much flare with the written word as you do with your art.  Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

Oh, very nicely done!  You've really caught the tone of DD's voice and they conversation they would have. I would love to one more section added to this story:  what did all the portraits in the office discuss after Harry left?  It would be fun to hear their opinions on Harry's chances and on the possible romance.

Awesome. I loved it. I'm one who is under the impression that Dumbledore knew Snape had to off him, but it's still debatable. You at least did this theory justice. I like how emotional Harry was and it wasn't overdone at all. I'm glad he finally got to cry it all out! The ending was cute too, with him and Ginny. Although, I think in the books Ginny is going to respect his wishes and not go after him again. She might at least wait until the upcoming wedding where she'll be as pretty as a picture. He might go running back to her in that case! LOL great job Agi.

Sniff, sniff.  I loved Harry getting the talk with Albus, and his explanations for trusting Severus.  Great fic!  Also, his advice regarding Ginny was spot on.  I so hope Harry will reach that conclusion in the next (and last!) book.

Very nice little fic. One comment on Dumbledore's speech; it seemed too casual and immature in his word choice in places (though I think, overall, you did a good job with it). He wouldn't use adjectives like "way" or "huge" (as in "huge mistake"), both of which are too informal and too pedestrian for Dumbledore.

Surely it is, but please note that English isn't my native language - actually I've never been to an English speaking country yet - and none of my betas pointed it out to me that Dumbledore's talk was too 'pedestrain'. Had they pointed it out, I would have gladly changed it, but I simply had no idea that it was wrong. One can never master another language fully, I think...

With regards to Snape's loyalties, the jury is still out in my mind...  Part of me can't help but agree with the view you've taken here,  but theres an insistant voice in my mind that keeps telling me that not all is as it seems.  While I was reading this,  it came to me that I'd like to read fanfics exploring both sides of the argument.

I like that you have Harry and Ginny back together before actually leaving Hogwarts..   I noticed that JKR ended the story early with HBP...    I can't help wondering why she left it there, rather than at Platform 9 3/4 like she normally does.... I also carn't help wondering if  we'll actually pick up where we left off at the beginning of book 7 and have Harry realise that separating from Ginny just isn't possible on the ride home..  (ok probably not,  but I can dream can't I?)

Very well written and I have to agree with your dialogue with DD's portrait. I to was angry at how DD died in the book and I've heard the same speculation as to DD asking for Snape to kill him rather than Draco since he is still an innocent.

Please continue writing because I'll definately be here to read it.

A Portrait on the Wall

This was a very nice piece, which gave both Harry and us a chance for a little closure.  It even made quick work of putting Harry and Ginny back together.  It seemed very canonical, with both characters enjoying an openness that they were approaching in HBP.  I liked it very much, especially the last scene.  I have no doubt that Ginny's words will be spoken before the summer's out in canon as well.

The only off notes were a couple of glaring Americanisms.  For example, Dumbledore would never say that Snape knew him "way better" that he knew Snape.  'Much better' perhaps, but never 'way better'.  It is not an expression that some one of Dumbledore's generation would use, especially not from a British gentleman of Dumbledore's vintage.

Very nice, very good, and very clever.  I enjoyed the way you provided Harry at least some closure with his old friend and mentor, and opened Harry's eyes a bit wider.  Hopefully, Ms Rowling will allow the same.

That was fabulous. I loved the way that the conversation went, it was so canon-like. I am glad that you wrote them back together again!

I don't know where Snape's loyalties lie, but I don't think Dumbledore was begging.  We'll find out in two years time I guess.

Meanwhile, speculation in your fiction was great.  Well written.

I hope Dumbledore's portrait can interact this way, and I hope Harry changes his mind about Ginny.  This was a very satisfying post-HBP read.  Thanks!
