Bloody Brilliant! Aaaahhh! I can't stop screaming with excitement! This was so amazingly perfect and so...Remus-like that I almost cried. The duel was hilarious as were the twins (of course! ) and the last line was probably the thing that made me cry. GREAT job! I loved it! |

lol I loved this!!! so much comic relief!!! I loved it all!!!
I eyed him carefully. Sirius tended to view his time in Azkaban as being a waste of twelve years of his life - I can hardly argue with that - and as a consequence he wanted to recapture that twelve years by cramming as much in as possible. He'd come up with one hair-brained scheme after the other since moving back into his old home, many of them involving Harry in some way.
That sounds like siruis alright

This is great! It would take a real marauder to pull this one off! I think the rest of the marauders are very proud of Remus right now! This was an inspired tale. Thanks so much for writing. p |

This is a great story! I love it when people try to "help" Harry with his love life! It is always "exciting"! This was inspired! Only Remus could have pulled this one off and give the credit to Padfoot! Thanks for writing. I am enjoying these little stories now that we are post DH. p |

Great story! Really made me laugh, though how did Remus come up with enough money to support all those treats? It's a sweet fiction, and a pleasure to read.
Again, great job!

This story is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Love every single bit of it. Remus's voice is spot-on perfect, and I love how his mind works. So devious and charming and fun. |

This is one great story! It's so sad, yet happy at the sametime and it takes a goo wrighter to pull that off!

Totally brilliant. I love how Remus's motivation behind fighting back Bellatrix is more driven by wanting Harry and Ginny together. Good work! Fun and humorous with some action thrown in. |

This was wonderful! It's definitely going on my rec list as one of the best post-HBP fics I've encountered. You've got Remus down pat and your descriptions of his POV post OotP and HBP are perfect. I also appreciate the fact that you don't turn Ginny and Harry into sappy, absurd charicatures of themselves as far as their romance goes. There's obviously desire and love and longing, but you do it in a very in-character way for them.
Well done! |

This was an amazing story - I can honestly say that it's one of the best one-shots I have ever read!
You're a very talented writer; I couldn't take my eyes off of the story until I was finished. I loved Lupin's sign about the Dolores Umbridge appreciation society. It was great!
Looking forward to reading more of your work!

Lovely. Brilliant.
What's not to love in this story? (Well Bellatrix obviously, and kind of Molly too in bits. But you know what I mean).
What's not to love about this story. That makes more sense. I like Bella's death by auntie's flying bed etc. And I loved the end too. And Ron. |
BasketKiwi Thursday 18th August 2005 08:18 | Hallelujah |
Very good job! I loved it! I really like the way you portrayed Remus. Lots of people make him all old and stuffy-like, but he is a marauder, isn't he? I think you did a good job with his personality. And the story was really great too, though I'm interested in what happened in the kitchen while Remus was fighting Bellatrix...and unconscious. And what happened at the Cannons game, too... (sorry, images going through my head.) Hhmm, I wonder if someone should write more stories describing a possible scenerio for these two occurances *hint-hint*. Anyway, good job with the story! |

What an awesome job! This story was so cute and well written, I loved Remus' character! Lol, Harry and Ginny, too amusing! I loved how you incorporated the background information into the story, nicely done! Magnificent job!!!!! |

An excelent short story. Had me smiling and sighing all the way
through. Done brilliantly from Remus' point of view. Nice to see
something a little bit different.
Much enjoyed!

Awe! This was fabulous. Although I thought Remus was OOC at a few times (he seemed to be more like Sirius or James - Remus has always been the serious one) I still loved the fic. It quickly became one of my favorite one-shots (the only one I've read that's this good is 'Take the Chance'). Great Job!!

Very, very nice!! I love Damien Rice! (just so you know, the song's called Delicate). His CD has tons of amazing songs perfect for song-fics.
If they were alone, with nobody watching... We might take it home! I finished the lyrics in my head while reading!
Great job! |

Cool story. Not hugely believable (even in the world of HP) but lots of fun. After all, Remus gets to be the hero, Bellatrix comes to a messey (and very flat) end and Harry and Ginny get together (again!). I do like Remus. |
Lina Monday 25th July 2005 13:08 | Hallelujah |
This was great. I really enjoyed seeing a fic from Remus' point of view that wasn't depressing and in the Marauder's Era. Really enjoyed Remus' dialogue during the duel with Bellatrix too. Rather funny.

Oh, this was excellent! I applaud your imagination. I'm adding this one to my (short) list of favourites. I think you've caught the tone perfectly, I could hear David Thewlis enunciating each word as I read through the story. (Wonder if he could be convinced to record this?) |

Couldn,t have been better. A great plan ,brought to fruition.Belletrix done in by her parents furniture,[probably the bed she was conceived in],Harry and Gunny seeing but ignoring the scene in the hall, and "Hallelujah"! Serius, desires met. Best one shot in a long time. |
amulder Monday 25th July 2005 05:51 | Hallelujah |
I like this one better!
The events of HBP, I think, make this reunion of H/G just that much
more poignant, since in this story we know they have a "history" and an
attraction, whereas in the first story it was all about
potential. Do others find a reunion more touching
than a first date?
Having read both, I must say it is amazing how you transitioned from
the one to the other. I'm sure it was a lot of work, but you make
it look effortless.
I still like how the bedroom furniture landed on Bellatrix. Very visual. Very visceral.
But Molly is, unfortunately, still very Molly. I think that her
characterization is one of the things I will want to examine in my
rereading of HBP. I'm so influenced by fanon that I wonder...
does she really yell that much, and jump to conclusions so
quickly? Where is the concern for Remus in that scene?
thanks for sharing

This is just as great on the second reading as the first. Its a shame you couldn't include Molly's reaction to the door closing.

Ha! This was great. Made me smile.
Harry and Ginny snogging,
Bellatrix getting her behind whipped,
Remus coming out on top (and keeping his girl)
and the usual Molly temper.
Too fun.

Cool! Way to go, Remus! Some remodeling was needed after
all, so why not get at it in the best way possible - wiping out
disgusting Bella with some rublle and furniture. Quite the tour
of the house, indeed.
Will there be a cleaning-and-rebuilding sequence? Btw, I think it
says in the beginning of HBP that Grimmauld Place is Harry's, not
Remus'? Not that it really matters to the story, I have no
problem seeing Remus protecting Harry's property - and no problem
seeing Harry being more than happy to share the place with Remus.
Loved the end, Bella is finally dead. Hallelujah, indeed.
|
DailyProphetReporting Monday 25th July 2005 03:12 | Hallelujah |
Well, the is the my first real Post-HBP story and I dare say I picked a
good one. Your work remains as comical and cleverly written as ever.
OK, so I can't quite see Remus manipulating everyone or kicking back in
a destroyed house like this, but the tone is so catchy and the story so
enjoyable that it didn't put me off in the least.
I though the twins' understand and haggling was well done and that
Harry's ... er ... indifference at the ending commotion was both
fitting and a nice way to tie the story together. But it was this part
that just killed me (and Bellatrix, too ...):
Bellatrix burst free from her ropes, having employed a Severing Charm.
Mr. and Mrs. Black's heavy, emperor-size bed came crashing through the ceiling, directly on top of their niece.
The wardrobe followed.
And then the vanity table.
And the chest of drawers.
And the three-piece suite, although one of the chairs landed nearer me than her.
And finally the full-length mirror, which shattered on top of the heap.
Nothing like a good bit of bad guy bashing, eh? And why stop with the
bed when you can hit her with the whole room! ;) But structurally I
thought this was really well done too, letting each item have its own
paragraph to really (pun intended) strike home.
Anyway, thanks for another fun read!
