Huh, why is Hermione at Krum's? While's she writing to him in the middle of book 5, at the end of the Book, she promises Harry that they'll see him soon - would she promises that if she intended on going to Bulgaria for the summer? So what muggle hospital is Harry in, and why doesn't the order think to check hospitals?

This beginning of this story is set at the very end of the summer. I had Hermione visiting Krum only for a short period of time right before school started (I think I mentioned that she had just arrived) so she wasn't there the entire summer.
I didn't actually name the Muggle hospital or think much beyond it in a general sense. However, I could lie and make up one if you'd like.
I tend to think that because the Order members are magical folks and because they know that Voldemort is Harry's greatest magical threat, would automatically begin thinking about magic possibilities for what happened to Harry or magical locations that he could be. However, I'd like to imagine that the Order would eventually get their act together and check a Muggle hospital. I think that Dumbledore would've been the one to come up with this thought had they not stumbled across Harry sooner.
One thing about this story is that it actually moves quite slowly; I think only ~24 hours pass between the time Harry gets in the car accident to when he's found. There maybe a lot of chapters, but not a lot of time passes. This is partially the artifact of so many character POV changes and the fact I'm verbose! |
