"Ron stared out the window and watched three garden gnomes struggling to heave an old boot over the garden wall..."

That is such a strange line I had to look and see if Luna was writing this.

Wonderful.

Intriguing. Nice story. But I don't think the scan would reveal the spells Harry's cast; remember only the last spell cast and be extracted from a wand .

most of the typos, although it's gnarled, not knarled. Still reading obsessively...

Great chapter! Total frustration on everyone's part and the mysterious conditions where Harry is being cared for. I initially think muggle hospital however, you've kept any real details out of it, keeping the storyline from Harry's perspective; nice one!

The search of the scene of the accident by AM, AW & RL was presented well. Their actions and dialog speak well of the concern and urgency you would expect of friends in such a situation. Finishing the ch. with the confirmation of Harry's wand was a great way to keep us on the hook.

~Awesome, job!

Thank you. Harry's illegal wand scan will be come up again in later chapters as will the idea that the Ministry is tightening it's grip on the wizarding world. I've always been interested in totalitarian regimes and their dramatic effects on a story/characters.

Oh, poor Remus being the one who confirms that the wand they found is Harry's. That must really have gone straight to his heart. I love what Moody did to the Muggles at the crash site. As for the Weasley family, my heart goes out to them all; as a parent I can easily put myself in both Arthur's and Molly's shoes since I understand both their points and their conflict between keeping their children free from worry and letting them in on why everyone is so worried. I can also relate to Ron and Ginny's feelings of needing to know what's going on and their frustration over being kept out of the loop. You're doing a marvelous job of weaving a very intricate and intriguing story which is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Thank you very much for your thorough review. One of the reasons why I decided to write this fic in alternating POVs is because I really wanted to write the story from other characters' perspectives that we don't get to see in canon. Even though it slows down the action and tends to prolong the story, I've enjoyed looking at the situation through subsidiary characters. Lupin and Molly fascinate me because they are what I consider to be Harry's parental figures - Lupin is his connection to the past (James and Lily) and Molly is, of course, his surrogate mother. I look forward to incorporating them more.

Oh no! Harry's in some strange place without a wand! Great chapter, keep up the great work and update soon!
