My apologies if you still read your reviews. I read this ages ago and was just clearing out mu
y bookmarks list and re-read this story. I should have left you a review first time round because it is a little cracker. Well done.

I keep meaning to go back and write more, but things keep getting in the way.

wow, amazing... I usually do not read short stories, just the novel length ones, but this time, when most of my update list is quiet for a while, I decided to give a try to a story of the week. And good I did indead... Thanks for a nice and very beleivable story... though I had a bit hard time getting Dhugals lines, as English is not my first langauge, and still, I have learnt with Americans, so Scotish dialect is far from easily understandable for me...

I always love it when a story end with Harry and Ginny together, eleminating Snape is a plus and Malfoy well he will not be missed either.

Also, in the future maybe don't use such heavy accents for characters...I have no idea what Dhugal was saying at any point:
"Harry, whit kin' of fankle die ye cowp intae?"

Yeah, that may have been exaggerated a bit too much.

"Harry, what kind of mess did you get yourself into this time?" was the original line.

Writing something from your own imagination takes a lot of courage. I want to commend you on that. This particular story just didn't sit well with me. None of it really fits the characters or the situations. I think it could easily be made into a much longer story with more connecting information. The characters and their actions need a lot of work though. Keep writing.

Well, thanks for reading it. I'm sorry it didn't sit well with you. Hopefully the next one will work out better.

You've a lovely mix of fluff and action in this story. I LOVED the flaming duel in the last chapter. I like having the majority of this chapter from Dhugal's point of view. He's an interesting character. I'd like to see more of his interaction with Harry in another fic sometime. I know the dialect was a pain and a half to write, but it really gives him life and interest. Well Done!

The proposal moment between Harry and Ginny is quite romantic. As well as Ginny's determination to heal Harry's wounds despite her own injuries. It adds intensity to the scene.

A very satisfying end! Thanks for this clever little story - a great mix of mystery, action and romance and a very interesting premise about destroying all knowledge of the horcruxes. I love how you wrote Dhugal's Scottish dialect and, though it took some concentration to read, it really gave an authentic feel to his character. Great work! I hope you come up with some other interesting twists to explore.

I had actually written it out as I was "hearing it," rather than trying to write it phonetically. Going back and doing it over made me change some things around, which worked better, but it was rough. I had to work at a sentence or two, then walk away for a bit.

I do have to thank Tante for pushing me to do that, however. She's right, it does lend some authenticity to the character.
